Editorial review from Citysearch 3/24/2013

I have known the owner and his wife for over thirty years, and have never seen the type of behavior that some of these people claim to have been subjected to. They do have a lot of small items, and since this is a small operation, they have to watch expenses..ie; breakage..I can't blame them for reacting to the havoc that some people's kids cause.I have seen parents literally let their kids run loose, and pull merchandise from the shelves. \r Give this shop a try...rude, arrogant...? Never.. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 9/8/2012

I was prompted to write this as it seems only those people who have had a bad experience are posting. This is a great addition to our community. A compounding pharmacy is like no other in that they are not pill counters but actually have the talent to make up non-conventional medicine. Don is such a pharmacist. He is always helpful and pleasant. more

Bad Post Office Service Great Gifts 2/6/2012

I wouldn't recommend the post office customer service but they do have great gift items. Quirky cards and stylish and clever gifts. They also have a fantastic array of injury equipment such as crutches and wheel chairs. The front counter is very pleasant, but Sue in the post office seems to always have a chip on her shoulder. She is obviously not happy working in a post office/gift shop/pharmacy. They need to hire someone that is more pleasant to interract with! more

I agree with previous negative reviews... 10/18/2011

The folks that work here are not the friendliest people. They hate children and run the place like a military area. Strict rules for everything and where you can stand and such. The post office line is inefficient at best and most of the staff are indifferent if not downright rude. Even if I need medical supplies (as I do right now) I will avoid this store unless they are the only store in the area that has my item. When I first moved to this neighborhood I wanted to patronize a local shop rather than the chain drugstores...but it is not worth it. Superior prices and service (and fewer ""rules"") at the chain stores. more

We will never come back here! 12/14/2010

My wife just came home in tears! She went to this post office as it was the closest that we found online. I am writing this as she is too upset and has asked me not to call the jerk involved to give him a piece of my mind. According to her there was a line to wait for the small post office window and a couple of people happened to be standing over it. An older - I won't say gentleman - barked that they have to stand behind the line. When it was her turn she got her stamps and was informed that she would have to add the stamps on the table to the side - on the 'wrong' side of the line. My wife was told to hand it back to the woman behind the counter when done. The jerk came back and barked, ""Wait behind the line!"" She replied that she was just using the table for the stamps and was waiting to hand the letter to the woman behind the counter and he yelled, ""Behind the line!"" My wife tells me she felt assaulted with this jerk's anger. I don't know how these people stay in business with this kind of behavior but we will never go back there...seems like we are not the only ones who have experienced this rudeness. Why take a chance with this place. more

I have to agree... 11/26/2010

This is a locally owned business and I still have not figured out why they are still around when fair prices and humane service seem to be important to most people. It must be an extreme adversion to driving to a larger store. When I have really, really needed to save time I use the post office here. The owners have a fake leg hanging out of a box prominently dislplayed at the counter that says ""The last rude customer"". I have always found this puzzeling because the woman who owns this place is truely and consistantly most unpleasant. A few years back during the holidays and the ground covered in snow, there were over a dozen people in line to mail packages, a young woman went up to the line (she dared not cross the tape on the carpet which instructs customers to stay there while the person ahead of them is at the counter) She had several packages and presented a check, to which the owner very tersely said ""No checks!"" The young woman went on to say she was a student at the U of W and these were her families Christmas gifts and she did not have cash on her and that she was from Spokane, the owner practically shouted ""No checks, no exceptions!"" The young woman left in tears. You could have heard a pin drop, I was too stunned to try to intervene and I think of the experience nearly every time I drive by. I remind myself that the post office at Carillon Point is never very busy and the extra drive is actually a gift to have a look at Lake WA. The other thing I always ponder when I drive by Juanita Bay Pharmacy is Karma. more

RUDE and HEARTLESS and GREEDY 12/5/2009

I went to this local mom-and-pop business in hopes of supporting the local economy and rented a wheelchair for my handicapped grandmother who was in town visiting me for Thanksgiving. Contract signed at $50 per week. On the 7th day, I ended up getting VERY sick and was admitted into the hospital. I EVEN CALLED AND LEFT A MESSAGE explaining why the wheelchair has not been returned, please not to penalize me, it will be returned first thing in the morning, etc.. 10am sharp the next morning there I was with the wheelchair, again explaining the circumstances with the hospital and all. THESE MOTHER F-ERS WOULD NOT EVEN LOOK ME IN THE EYE as they REFUSED to help me out, and INSISTED they charge me for a whole 'nother week just because it was a matter of hours late, and late for a DAMN good reason. Not only am I laid off from my job, but I'm 2 months behind on rent, medical bills out the yang, and I told them all of this and they COULDN'T EVEN LOOK ME IN THE EYE. Had to be looking elsewhere, or writing something or hiding behind your little counter while you politely tell me that you don't give a F*CK. Seriously man? For $50? You're gunna screw me this hard for $50? GREEDY BASTARD. Pros: For the love of all that is holy shut that laughing cat OFF! Cons: Rude, passive aggressive, unfair, greedy, retarded prices more

Bio-Identical Hormone 12/2/2009

It pays to shop around because the price for the compounded bio-identical hormones is unreasonably high. Pros: This store has great card and gift selection. Cons: But the prices on compounded hormones are extremely high. more

Bio-identical hormones 8/16/2009

If you are looking for a compounding pharmacy for bio-identical hormones, you owe it to yourself to shop around and compare prices first. Not only are their prices unreasonably high, they don't answer their phone, and may or may not call you back if you leave a message. more
