Hello, Unfortunately my review has to be a negative one. I have never given a negative review before and am saddened I have to start now, but I need to help save other families grief if I can.
I ordered products on-line in mid-January, 2012 for my soon-to-be graduating daughter. Money was taken out of my bank account almost immediately to cover the order. Out of necessity and within 5 days, I started what has proven to be the most arduous trek for justice, a semblance of customer service, or even a shred of common courtesy...namely, a refund from Jostens.
It is mid-May and I have yet to see a single penny's worth of a refund even a partial one...a refund the company agrees is indeed owed to me, mind you... according to the Jostens corporate office, this is due to the actions, non-actions, unprofessional actions, and/or unscroupulous actions of the local Jostens rep, Mr. Jeff Lane...
Somehow, a country-wide company like Jostens has been brought to its knees in utter powerlessness to refund the money owed me due to some unknown and unexplainable inner-hierarchy that puts simple local regional reps in the position of gods, handling the money, products, AND REPUTATION surrounding the Jostens name and business. Speaking from first hand experience, if you wind up being stuck with jostens, you'd best be on your honor and don't dare upset your rep, because according to Jostens HQ, the rep can take your money, blow you off by completely ignoring your attemps for info or resolution, return no phone calls and not even deliver on the products originally ordered...WITHOUT ANY REPROCUSSIONS.
HQ says, ""Sorry, you HAVE to rely on your rep to do the right thing and refund you..."" HQ is saying this...HQ also says it cannnot issue refunds. HQ cannot force in any way the rep to refund my money, and as I pointed out to HQ (and a handful of differnet HQ employees from a handful of different phone calls I've made, even to management... agreed) that they can do nothing but watch their reputation go up in smoke because of one man, local rep Jeff Lane...
I hope the power trip that Mr. Lane finds himself on is worth the damage he is doing to the once-polished Jostens reputation. I fear I'll never get any part of my money back, since HQ, as the company's backbone...is as boneless as a jellyfish, and the local reps are running around with chips on shoulders and our money in their pockets...
I've made nearly a dozen attempts at peaceful and productive resolution via multiple phone calls to various levels of management, detailed emails that have gone unanswered, etc.
If this can do nothing more than help another family having to go through the torturous experience of dealing with the Jostens company, then that is at least a little consolation. Save your money and time and find another company for your kids school services. I'm campaigning to the local schools to do the same thing and am getting fairly good responses. Unfortunately for Jostens, this is not an isolated experience I've found and it's all catching up to them rather quickly. :-(
