We have a few trees and some shrubs that Joshua tree treats several tiems a year. The work is always done well. They also do a very good job of communicating what they will be doing. RESPONSE FROM Joshua Tree, Inc.: So kind of you to say so, Edwin...thanks! more

The trees had already been cut down and the stumps needed to be ground. Ivan was a pleasure to deal with and provided good information and was very knowledgeable about the work. All communication was done by email and when I needed to talk to someone it was just one phone call with a quick response. Grinding tree stumps is an unglamorous job with the result being more work to be done including removing the ground up tree stump and adding top soil and planting grass but Joshual Tree provided their part of the work in a timely manner. I had also requested an estimate on removing two trees and the estimate was reasonable but not in the budget at this time. RESPONSE FROM Joshua Tree, Inc.: Ha Frank! Love the way you describe stump grinding as an unglamorous job! It may be, but we take the same pride in a job well done as with a tree that will be there for the next 100 years....thanks for the kudos! more

It was easy to set up a visit using their online form, their meeting for an estimate was fast and educational and the work they did on my property was top notch. As your Arborist shared with you when you expressed your desire to have your tree 'topped', this is detrimental to the tree, and is not a method we'll employ in any situation. And while the process of Crown Thinning was diligently and methodically explained to you, we still regret that the final result is less than pleasing to you. One of the things we've found is that as a little time passes, the greater airflow and improved health and vigor of the tree becomes apparent, and has it's own way of demonstrating this very effective and arboriculturally correct manner of stewardship. I have had Joshua Tree remove and trim many large trees. They did an excellent job so I referred them to the neighbors in my development. They were happy with the work so we hired Joshua to do all our community work. I hired them to fertilize a few trees ravaged by gypsy moths and they are healthy again. They fertilize my lawn. I am very picky about the beauty of my lawn. Their expertise shows! My lawn is LUSH and deep green. Their prices are very good and customer service A+++.
