The best there is! 9/28/2009

I have taken my cats to Dr. Suzy for many years. They not only provide wonderful immediate care but followup care as well. They added great quality of life to two special-needs cats. In addition, when I did have to put one cat down with cancer, Dr. Suzy was as concerned and involved as if she was another family member. Yes, they do charge a bit more than others - but I never felt that I didn't get my money's worth or that my animals got anything but the best of care. If you care for your pets, I highly recommend Joshua Animal Clinic. Iris B. more

Joshua Animal Clinic is part of the family 9/23/2009

Bogey was a rescue Doxi. He was a sweet little soul. Dr Lisa & Dr Suzi did everything they could to cure him of his advanced stage heart worms, but in the end it was to much for him, due to an enlarged heart. Tears flowed as we prepared to have him cremated. He now resides on our fire place mantle, and is fondly remembered by us and everyone at Joshua Animal clinic.Anyone who sits in their waiting room knows how busy Yogi is on the phone. A little understanding would be a good thing, on the patients owners part. more

Great, Caring, Professional Doctors!!! 5/23/2009

My Maggie has gone to the Joshua Animal Clinic since the week we got her. We have had nothing but positive experiences every time we have gone. The Doctors are very attentive and concerned whenever there is a problem. Their prices are a little higher than some other clinics but I have always heard, "you get what you pay for." The offices are clean and well staffed with positive helpful employees who care as much about my pet as I do. I drive over eighty miles round trip just to take my dog to this clinic. You won't find a better clinic anywhere! more

Sneaky, Unprofessional, Unethical 4/30/2009

I have a family member who took her dog here because it is so close, but it was a huge mistake. The vet who owns the place saw the dog and said he had a bacterial infection with his skin and said he needed to come every week for a medicated bath. She took him for his first bath early in the morning. At 2pm she called to see if he was ready to come pick him up but they said he was not ready yet and was still wet. The receptionist was very rude when asked why it took 6 hours to give him a bath so she just said she would pick him up wet and take him home. When she got there he was dirty and smelled like a wet dirty dog. It appeared someone had just sprayed water on him to make it look like he had a bath. Then she was told the bill was over $50.00\r That was more money than what he gets charged at the groomer when he gets a full haircut and comes home smelling wonderful. What an unethical and unprofessional place this is! more

Over charge, under communicate, rude 4/23/2009

First, their front office staff is rude in person and over the phone. I had been taking my cats there for a few years, but when my male had an emergency urinary block the office staff literally hung up on me. After the emergency clinic visit to fix the problem, he was moved to Joshua Animal Clinic for his follow up care. They charged me double their estimate (we are talking $500 more than what they told me!). They gave him medications that he didn't need, aren't recommended by top professionals, and got very snooty and condescending with me when I asked why. Essentially they were using every excuse possible to charge me more. When I talked with the vet on the phone explaining that I could only pick him up the next day (after two days in the clinic) she told me "Oh, that will be no problem." failing to mention that they were going to charge me an extra $200 for the 12 hrs more he was in their cage. Very sly and almost criminal in their overcharges. I am not poor, or ignorant, but I expe more

The best Vets in the area!!! 4/3/2009

I have NEVER had a bad experience at Joshua Animal Clinic in over 6 years. I have friends who have been clients of Dr. Stewart for over 15 years, and they also have never had a problem. I have seen Dr. Glenn on many occasions and she is just as good as Dr. Stewart. They both show great care toward my dogs and cats! They have a great passion for their profession and I would never want to take my 4-legged children anywhere else!!! I have never had to wait longer then expected. They are a very busy clinic and it seems the phone is always ringing. I have never heard the phone go unanswered or people at the front go unattended. Pros: Helpful staff and incredible Doctors Cons: None more

Hateful, unprofessional doctors and staff 6/24/2008

I will never return to this clinic! The office staff is rude and unhelpful. The doctors are hateful and uncaring and extremely unprofessional. The office is dirty and smelly. Very expensive. They always try to push alot of products on you and if you refuse they make you feel like a cheapskate. You will always have a long wait. Never anyone at the front desk or answering the phones. Unknowledgeable about new products that they are advertising all over the office. And rude when you have any questions about anything. I have heard many horror stories about this office, I just wish I had heard them earlier. more

Bad vets 6/24/2008

I would strongly advise anyone thimking about going to this office to think twice. I am not one to write reviews, but I was on here looking for another vet when I saw the reviews and just had to add mine. Dr. Glenn is a nightmare! I hadn't been to Joshua Animal Clinic in a long time and when we did go we always saw Dr. Tipton because Dr. Stewart is soooo rude and not a good vet. I was not aware that Dr. Tipton had been replaced by Dr. Glenn and had no idea who she was when she came in. She didn't even introduce herself before she began manhandling my cat. I took her in because she was having bladder problems again and I wanted to just put her back on the RX cat food that had worked for her last time but was told (very rudely) that I would have to bring her in, and then she told me that she was too old to worry about tryng to save and that I should just put her down. I should add that she said all of this right in front of my children, and then when they started to cry and I began protesting, she said I could pick up the food at the front desk but she didn't think it would do any good and walked out of the room without even a good bye or thanks or kiss my foot. I went to the aspca and got the food and my cat is doing fine now, by the way! I honestly don't know how this clinic will stay in business with doctors like that! Pros: None since Dr. Tipton left Cons: very unprofessional and unpleasant doctors and staff more

HATEFUL VET AND OFFICE STAFF! 6/24/2008

I completely agree with the other reviewer! Dr. Stewart has absolutely no business being a vet! She is way overpriced, and she is the most uncaring person I have ever met! And Dr. Glenn is as bad as she is! Her office staff is hateful and there is never anyone at the front desk. You always have to wait forever to be seen and even when you just come by to purchase medicine or supplies you have to wait. Dr. stewart gave my new puppy her first shots and when she yelped and squirmed, she held her up to her face and yelled BAD DOG right in her face and kinda shook her a little! That was my last visit to her. I will take my pets somewhere else where the vets care about their patients and their owner! After my last visit, I talked with a number of people who agreed with me. I just wish I had talked to them first before my poor little puppy was traumatized! Pros: I couldn't find any pros Cons: too expensive, hateful, uncaring and abusive vet and staff more

Worst vet experience ever!!! 4/29/2007

Dr. Stewart treated me as if I had no business being a pet owner because of my pet's aggressiveness. She refused to give my dog a rabies shot and I ended up having him put to sleep. She was very rude about the situation and showed no concern for our family's emotions. She very rudely told me that I need to put my dog in training and hurried off to the next patient without so much as a "sorry", "thank you", or "have a nice day." I am not a typical critic, but I was extremely disappointed in this case. Pros: I was glad to see that the office was open on Saturday. Cons: Rude, hateful doctor. more
