I just moved to the area from Forest Hills, and was hesitant about trying a new salon. I'm so used to how I get my hair done, I was nervous to try anyone new. I asked around and got a few great recommendations for Joseph Christopher, so I figured Id give it a shot. Since its summer, I knew I wanted something a little lighter and warmer for my color, I just wasnt sure exactly. Right away, the staff here knew exactly what I was going for and even gave me a few great suggestions of their own. (I think her name was Stephanie). I was really impressed. Not to mention, the place is gorgeous. Everything is clean, organized and really elegant. While I was getting my hair done I even was given a hand and shoulder massage (which after the loong day I had at work was much needed!). I walked out of there feeling truly fabulous, I loved everything about my hair. Its been a little over a week and already Ive received a lot of great compliments. Ive already recommended a few people as well. Overall really great experience! more

i originally went to this salon because i had a gift certificate. i made an appointment to get a massage and when i checked out the woman at the desk handed me 25% off cut or color. i made an appointment for my cut and when i got there they offered me some color suggestions with the cut suggestions. the hair cutter and colorist were really educated and they gave me a few great ideas. they completely changed my look and i have been going there ever since. that was 3 years ago. the service is exceptional and i love the complimentary massages i get everytime i get cut or color. also i just signed up for their ""indulgence club"" which saves me so much money! the prices are great and now im getting more of a discount. i love this place, i send all my friends and family! more

I just recently moved to the area and have been looking for a new salon to go to, now that my other too is too far away. I received a card in the mail for 20% off gift cards for the holiday and 25% off my first time experience, so I figured I might give them a try (who doesnt like a good deal now, anyway?). I had two lovely girls do my roots and give me a trim and both did an amazing job! So much better than the place I had been going to before. Everyone was so helpful and the salon itself was beautiful! I told my two girlfriends, who also live in the area, right away about it and both called in the next day to make facial reservations. I'm going back sometime later in the week to get gift cards for them too for holidays, which I know that theyll LOVE. Ive been going to Joseph Christopher for years & years, and I absolutely love them! Im always given exceptional treatment, from the girls at the front desk to the colorists and stylists in the salon, I always feel like a 5-star guest. Joseph Christopher, by far, is one of the most gorgeous & luxurious spas I guarantee you will ever go to. It only took one visit & I was instantly hooked. Absolutely LOVED this spa. Went here with my sister and mother a couple weeks ago, and had an amazing time! The place is gorgeous and all of the treatments were so relaxing and luxurious. I'm a single mom so I never really get a chance to take some time for myself, but a day at Joseph Christopher was exactly what I need. I went to Joseph Christopher earlier this week and had a cut, color and one of their body polish treatments. After coming here, I refuse to go anywhere else!! All of the staff were accodomating and very knowledgeable. They spoke with me before I got my hair done, customizing everything and making sure I got exactly what I wanted. Both the spa and salon are fabulous! I loved both of them and walked out feeling refreshed and renewed, head-to-toe!! I will, without a doubt, be back very soon! more

Fabulous salon and spa!! I come to Joseph Christopher at least once a week for my hair, nails, and other daily maintenance treatments. This week, I decided to treat myself a little further and came in for a promotion they were running for a $50 River Rock massage and a $50 Rosemary Mint body wrap. Ive never had either, but both were amazing! I felt so relaxed after, and the girls who did it were so nice and professional. It just reaffirmed why I LOVE this place!! more

I went here yesterday and had one of the best experiences ever!! I received a gift card for my birthday and decided to treat myself for a day at the spa. I had 5 treatments done; a massage, facial, a body polish, a manicure and a pedicure. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, I loved every minute of it! I even got a complimentary blowout afterwards!! I will def be back again very soon! more

SOO great. Just had a massage here. Everything, from start to finish, was amazing. The therapist was so nice, and customized the entire thing for me. I dont really get massages, but after this, I cant wait to have my next one! more

I visited Joseph Christopher this saturday, where i had my cut and color done. I was offered complimentary hand, neck and shoulder massages. after receiving those, i decided to try out the spa and get an hour massage. it was lovely. the staff was extremely nice& very professional. after my massage was done, they finished my hair, and gave me a complimentary makeup. massage was great & the cut and color came out phenominal! i will definately go back there and send a bunch of friends. I went to the spa today and had a horrible massage. The therapist basically did the exact opposite of whatever I was requesting and walked out of the treatment more tense that I was when I had walked in. When I went to the front desk I spoke to two girls who worked at the front counter both of whom were very sweet and helpful. I told them that I would like to not pay for the treatment that I just had given that I had not enjoyed it which was then the owner came to the counter. He started in with me saying "You just don't not pay" instead of asking me what the situation was. He said that I could pay and that I would be given a complimentary massage in the future. I explained that I would rather not pay for the service that I just had not enjoyed and if I wanted to come back it would be on my own terms. His response was "when I go to a restaurant I pay for my meal, this is the same", I responded with "when the meal isn't correct or to your liking it is taken off of the bill". After I had responded with that he went crazy and told me to do whatever wanted. I decided to not pay for the massage although I have a feeling that I will see a transaction on my credit card which they have on file. Poor Poor customer service! more

I went here for a cut & color a few weeks ago, and from the time I walked in I was treated with the utmost care & service. Right away the staff was outgoing, friendly, and very attentive. As I was getting my hair done, I met with both the colorist & stylist who spoke with me to collaborate on the best look for me. Customizing what look I wanted made me feel very assured and confident. Afterwards, everyone was very gracious. From start to finish, I LOVED this place. I reserved my next appointment the very same day!! Definitely give this place a try, you wont regret it!! more

The unprofessional behavior from the Owners of this establishment is unbelievable!!!! Fortunately, for them their staff was very pleasant and you can tell they all have talents that is being wasted on Horrible work environment. Maybe someday they will realize not to look at people like $$ signs walking in the door with their very over priced treatments, scripts and pushy attempts to sell me everything....but as a person(s) that wants to relax and enjoy my experience.I Will Not go again Nor will I Send any of my friends!!!!!! more

I've been to Joseph Christopher a few times now and you need to know what to go for. Waxing and massage were great. Facial was so-so. Manicure was terrible, espeically considering they charge $20 for a manicure! It was by far the messiest manicure i've ever had, I had nailpolish all over my cuticles, bubbles under the polish and uneven coating...it looked like a 5-year-old had done my nails...Very disappointing!\r \r I also had my hair blown out there twice - they did an ok job, but what I didn't like was that they kept offering me additional services and trying to sell me on other things like hand massage, shoulder massage (even though I had just had a full massage at their spa), make-up, conditioning treatment, some ""experiences""...I felt like everything was a sales pitch.\r \r Also, it felt like they were trying to be something they're not - they claim to be an ayurvedic spa but they don't even explain what ayurvedic body types are all about and they do not personalize their treatments to the various body types. They have scented oils that carry the names of ayurvedic body types and they ask you to choose one based on what smell you like best...that's as ayurvedic as they get (and they say something about a ""sensual journey"" as they let you smell them...) It's comical. \r \r So if you're going, know what you're going for and be prepared to say ""no thank you"" 1,000 times over as they offer you upgrades and additional services.\r \r Overall, for such an expensive spa I expect better quality and more genuine customer service. I've had nothing but good experiances here. I've had great cuts and their highlights (""sunlights"") are wonderful and very natural looking. They have a large and attentive staff on hand to take care of you. The decor is lovely and very airy. I have also had they're manicure/pedicure service. The work was very good, but it was a little frustrating that the stylist could not speak english. Given the price paid, I expected a little more. Pros: Great Highlights Cons: Location more
