Not just looking for the Best Margaritas, but the Best Mexican Food Around??? Look no further. Jose Tejas in Iselin NJ has it all. Very centrally located on route 1/9 near the Woodbridge Mall, Jose Tejas has an extensive menu of Tex/Mex, Southwestern and Cajun cuisine. My favorite is the Crawfish Etouffee. AWESOME!! Their Fajitas are absolutely to DIE FOR...completely loaded with either steak or chicken, peppers, onions, the works. YUMMO! And now the Margaritas...what can I say, either frozen or on the rocks, with or without salt, they are the best. The greatest part of this place is the prices. My hubby and I eat there with appetizers and a meal and a Margatita or 2 for maybe $30. Well worth it. I even love the atmosphere, country/western music, real wood tables and chairs. The staff is so nice and friendly and the food comes to you so fast. ONE RECOMMENDATION...if you are in a great hurry to eat, go early in the evening. If you plan on going on a Friday or Saturday night be prepared to wait. The food is so good that Jose Tejas fills up fast! Well worth the wait though. ENJOY!!!!! more

Jose's can get pretty crowded on Friday and Saturday nights, so I suggest going alittle earlier to avoid the crowd. If you don't mind waiting, you can always head to the bar for a beer of one of their awesome flavored magaritas. The menu is pretty standard mexican food, but at a great price point. I honestly dont think anything is over $15.00 on the menu and most of the items are under $10.00 (except the fajitas for two which i think is $19). I haven't found one thing on the menu that I don't like yet. Plus, they give you fresh chips and salsa at the table. If you aren't drinking alcohol, a family of 4 can eat here for around $40.00 or less. more

On a weekend, expect a long wait but it is worth it! Grab a beer or a margarita at the bar, if you can make your way to it! They are always packed on the weekends! But the food...mmmm. This place serves great fajitas! I love the chips and salsa too. The service is always very good. We come here often. more

I didn't think the 2 would go together but they do. They make some mighty good margaritas. The food is very good. There are some veggie friendly dishes. The salsa is always yummy! I have yet to be there on a popular night so I've always been seated right away. They have pretty good service. I have seen all kinds of customers from businessmen to couples to kids having birthday parties. Maybe I'll go for my birthday- but only if I get a sombrero. more

Jose Tejas has some pretty good Mexican food and a really cool bar. This place gets really crowded so expect to wait over an hour for a table, good time for a cerveza (beer) or margarita. The theme will make you feel like you are truly in a Mexican restaurant. The portions are large and the prices are pretty reasonable. more

What's not to love here? Great food, great service, awesome atmosphere, unbelievable prices! The food is so fresh and tasty! and you get a lot for your money! typical entrees between $7 and $15.00 but you can find something for $10 easily! You also great awesome salsa and chips to start with. One thing - they don't accept reservations and during peak times you may have to wait - especially with a big party. But hey - you can always wait at the bar! more

The food is really good with lots of varieties to choose from. The ambience is that of a perfect mexican place. This place outranks most of the decent places in Manhattan, that I have been to. Margaritta's and empanada have been my all time favorites followed closely by fajitas. more
