this place is a nice surprise in cool springs.. its not a boring spot where the food is average.. never been there but will be back many times..the service was outstanding, food hot and affordable, drink specials all the time and a bar staff who knows your name after one visit, not sure if EVERYONE knows about jonathans but if you don't you should check it out ASAP!! not many places can impress me like this place did.. stay at one of the near by hotels and see what i'm talking about.. great place, great staff and great food.. try it and you'll see what im talking about.. One of the best-kept secrets in Franklin! Looks and feels like a better-than-average sports bar, but the kicker is the food... really fantastic and much, much higher on the charts than even typical ""good"" bar/pub food. I ordered the tilapia sandwich and it was humongous, nicely-seasoned, tender and juicy. Will definitely come back here when we're in town again. Pros: Great food, good prices more

Great value and great prices. Love the bartenders, love the servers and can't live without the managers. And I mean it. If we had more places like this place the world would be better off. I am a bar expert and this place rocks!! I have checked out every place in Williamson and Davidson county and Jonathan's is in my top five! Franklin has very few places to hang out and if you are looking for a good looking staff and clientle this is your place. But if you want to hang out with Teeny Boppers all Under One Roof or at Dan Smokey Quinnes that's your prerogative. Jonathan's staff is one of a kind, and if you have had a bad experience there your the only one. They have great specials but there service is by far the best reason to visit. Believe me I know.. Been going to the Cool Springs location twice a week for more than 4 years, never had a bad experience. They always have a special and there staff remembers your face. Can't say there is a better place to go in all of Nashville. They do have a simple dress code- no bandanas and no sleeveless shirts, can't blame them for that, who wants to eat next to a hairy armpit? I have been going to Jonathans for over four years. I have NEVER had good service there....seriously, not once. The food is pretty good and I like their drink specials. But I don't go when I'm in a hurry. I know that it will take 15 minutes for a waitress to come take my drink order and I always ask for my bill when I get my food because it will take forever for them to bring it to me. Once, the waitress actually LOST my credit card. When she called me at FOUR AM to tell me she found it, she was still going to charge me for my food!! I had already canceled my credit card by that time. I read all the other reviews and they must have been written by the Jonathans staff/owners because there is NO WAY that some one would actually say that they had good service. The only reason I go there is because my friends like to go there and they complain about the service as well. You would think in four years they could find some waitresses that could actually do their job. And several of them have been working there for a long time and they STILL don't know how to do their job. Service is slow, waitresses are rude and the food is fair. Don't waste your time. If you like live music, go at night on a weekend. No matter how busy the place is, good service seems to be easy to find. I never had to call for anything. the food is great, especially for the price. I am going to keep this review simple. If you like the bar atmosphere, and the slightly aging Cool Springs crowd, this place is worth trying. As I mentioned in my McDougal's review, Jonathan's has better chicken than McDougal's. \r The food and service was great. My only complaint was that I was given kind of the run around when calling about a copy of a detailed receipt. I was told to call back the next day between 9-5 (first call). When I tried this I was told that they were too busy due to their March madness Luncheon. They already have my money (roughly $60 over two nights). I felt that someone could have taken a few minutes to pull up my bill and fax me a copy. more

If you haven't been to Jonathan's (Cool Springs) lately then you are mssing out. The best way to describe it is a ""Cheers"" type bar. The staff rocks, they always know you by name and the food is Great! Everything you order is huge, the prices are very reasonable. If you are single and want to find a good hang out this is the place. If you are a single female that likes to have a few cocktails there isn't a better place in Cool Springs or Nashville. I like to hear live music once in awhile and on Saturday nights there bands really are awesome. Oh yeah and if you like boothes, then they are back. I can't say enough about this place. From the staff to the management most of all to those employees who have been there for MANY years you all are the GREASTEST!!!! My family and I frequently visit Jonathans of Cool Springs. The service is absolutely fantastic and the food terrific. We are constantly greeted with a smile and the food is always on time. The atmosphere is clean and the staff is curtious. We recommend this sports bar and grille over any other in the city. I have been there several times and the service is horrible. It takes them forever to take your drink order and even longer to take your food order. The waitresses won't look anybody in the eye when the run past. The food is good though. And it's a good place to sit and watch a game. Don't go if you are in a hurry. What's with this place. Everytime I go they have changed the menu, and of course what I wanted is now off the new menu. This week I went and had to wait forever for service. Then the appitizer came out with the food. Waitperson 101 don't send the app's out with the main course! And, this is a family type place why do you change $2.00 for a glass of tea. I am very fond of Jonathans and after I read this review about it I thought it only fair to tell the person who reviewed it that it is rather outdated. With new colors and brand new seating and tables, Jonathans Grille has upgraded itself to a high class sports bar. It offers not only a great variety of menu items (HUGE variety) but also well over 30-40 different beers and a fully stocked bar. There is no longer European seeting and the only time I ever remember that happening was when the Frank Wycheck radio show was there and they were trying to squeeze in as many people as they could. However there are no longer any booths (bummer) but having all tables allows the option for large parties. I have had many office parties there and its always a success. There is also live bands every thurs and saturday nights. Some better than others but you can always check the website to see who is playing. Always friendly service and the only place to go in Cool Springs to enjoy a drink after work and socialize with a classy crowd. I think its time to update your review for the place and give it the credit it deserves. Go try it out and see for yourself!! Pros: There is rarely an hour during the day where there isnt some kind of drink special! Cons: they only take reservations for parties of 8 or more...not usually a problem though. more
