My brother is mentally challenged and works very hard at a grocery store. He does not have an office. He was repeatedly called by this Jokada group at work, which meant he had to be paged to the front office to take the call. He was given a hard sell, and resisted over and over again. His boss even called me at home and told me about the multiple times this company had called him at work to see if I could do something about it. One time they said they would give him some free samples of 2 specific magazines for a free short term subscription but he had to give them his credit card number in case he turned it into a subscription later. He was embarassed to be on the phone, and to get rid of them, gave them his debit card number. He told me right away. I called the bank, and they had already tried to run around $40 through his account. He never received those magazines. He received a bill for over $1000 plus penalties and interest, totaling over $1300!!!! They keep sending him bills and letters from 'Access Capital Credit' saying they are going to/have reported him to the credit bureau. I read somewhere else that this Access Capital Credit works hand in hand with these scam companies. They sell the thing, whatever it is, in this case magazines, actually hoping the peple will feel tricked and not pay so they can collect all this fraudulent charge by scaring them into thinking they are going to mess up their credit. Cons: Taking advantage, fraudulent more

Worst Company - No Integrity!! 3/28/2009

In February 2002, I decided to enter into an agreement with Jokoda Group for some magazines since it sounded like a sweet deal at the time. I was sent an invoice agreement that would binding for 30months. I agreed to pay my monthly amounts and even communicated with them that I wanted to change my monthly billing. They agreed, I received my magazines & I was happy. After my agreement was completed, I called to ensure my program was completed. They assured me it did and over the course of the year they would call me once in a while to follow-up on the service I received and asked if I wanted to continue my subscriptions again. They even offered to use them as a reference. In July 2006, I received another followup call asking about the service I received in my previous order and was asked if I wanted to renew my subscriptions again. I declined to renew my subscription since I couldn't even keep up with the ones I previously had. The service was great but I didn't need the magazines. A few days later I receive a reorder invoice. I immediately wrote a letter stating that I did not want to renew my magazines. I even have a letter from Jokoda Group a few months later stating that my previous agreement was fulfilled. A couple months go by and I still continue to receive magazines & didn't understand why. I also noticed charges on my credit card. I called to dispute the charges. I was told Jokoda Group was the company doing the billing. I contacted them & again advised that I did not enter in any agreement with them and to discontinue my subscriptions & billing. Now I receive a letter from a debt collector attempting to collect a debt. Since then noone has contacted me for service followup since the reorder in July 2006. I was extremely upset when I called them to dispute the charges on my card. Until now....they have not yet responded. This has been the worst experience I've ever had with such a company. DO NOT ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH JOKODA GROUP. I WOULD STICK TO BUYING MAGAZINES DIRECTLY FROM MAGAZINE COMPANY ITSELF OR IN STORES!!!! Pros: Example: best croissants in town Cons: What are the drawbacks? more

Worst Company period 11/21/2008

I had recently did a phone survey for this company and was asked after the survey if i would like a subscription to them. I said no and they said they would send me a few free ones at the address i provided to them. Out of my own stupidity i gave them my credit card number just to confirm i had a account. Three months later im being charge monthly $35 for magazines im not even recieving. I never gave them permission to charge anything to my credit card or any kind of go ahead. I have called my old job and asked them if any mail for me was recieved there and they told me no!!!... Three days later after i talked to Jokoda group my mail appeared at my old job.... now im turing it over to the authorities at the bureau and let them take care of this. If you ever get a phone call from this place my advise to you is to hang up.... no survey, no talking, just tell them to have a good day and hang up more
