I just found out today.........my family was afraid to tell me - afraid I would be too upset. Too upset. Yes, I am too upset. You are gone and I am broken-hearted at the loss of a wonderful friend. You gave me back my smile, you made me laugh and dance with pure abandon. It was many, many years ago, but I could never thank you enough for what you did for me when I moved back to Berwick, way back when. If only I'd been there when you needed a friend...........if only I'd known. Could I have made a difference? Could any of us have gotten you through that morning? Helped you make a different choice? We'll never know, will we. Didn't you know how many of us love you, Bill??? Didn't you know that our world will never be the same.........will forever be missing something precious? Peace to you my friend. I hope I'll see you again some day. And we will smile and laugh and dance again. more

This man was not only a family friend, but our family eye doctor. He and my father were great friends, and he was loved by my whole family. I was devastated my the news. I will miss him greatly, and wish I could have been more than a patient and a friend! God Bless Him and his daughter! Bill, I hope you are at peace. more
