Buyer Beware!!! Second opinion a must!\r \r John s diagnostic showed quoted over $2400 to repair various problems, such as leaking water pump, leaking oil pump, etc.\r \r When I took the car to another shop for a second opinion, they found only 1 small problem. The other shop made the repair for less than $100 (including their diagnostic fee). No other repairs were needed. They specifically verified the water pump and oil pump are working fine. The car has been running great ever since!\r \r Soooo glad we decided to have a second opinion. We almost paid thousands to fix problems that did not even exist!!!\r more

This business tried to rip me off!!! I looked on line for someone that had high recommendations, I took my truck to have the brakes and an oil change. They did not even take the wheels off of the truck, I left it for 3hrs. When I returned they asked were the wheel lock was so that they could see what kind of rotors they were. When they ""looked at my brakes"" during the 3 hrs it sat there, they had came up with an estimate for almost 1000.00 to fix my rotors, brakes, and calipers. I called around none of the other places came close to the over price that he had given me. I was able to get everything done for 441.00. \r Im a female, student, mother of two, as well as employed full time. I dont have the time or the money to be taken advantage of. \r DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. \r more

The service at John's was great! Clint was very awesome in helping me resolve the problem I was having with the emissions on my truck. He checked out my truck ad gave me alternatives that ended up saving me a lot of money. I will definitely go back to John' when I need work done on my truck and will recommend them to friends and family. more

I have used Johnâ??s Auto Care for over 4 years and I have to say that they are the best vehicle service organization I have ever dealt with in 3 states! Having been to other places that try to sell you things you donâ??t need or overcharge you, I feel Johnâ??s more

I took my car in to get the alternator replaced and checked if it needed some thing else done. Well luckily John was able to help me in a timely professional matter. Thank you for not taking a long time to repair my car. more

My car was making a squeaking sound, I took in to Johns auto care center and the guy who helped me was really nice and found the solution to my cars problem. It results that my timing belt needed to be replaced. Thank you for all your help more

I like how they don?t add services that they don?t need to add to you so you don?t have to spent more than what you plan on repairs. They are a great staff I strongly recommend them to you. more

Honest Service, Excellent Repairs 5/19/2011

The world needs more honest mechanics! And that is exactly what you will find at John's Auto Care Center. This place was amazing! Clint and Shawn were friendly, and knowledgeable with regards to my repairs. They did not pressure me into a decision, but made me aware of what my car needed, and let me be in control of how I spent my money. They got my car in quickly, had it repaired in no time, and answered all of my questions along the way! I was referred to this shop by a long time client of theirs, and I am glad I went! I will do ALL my auto repairs with them! They are a 4 star company for sure! more

Without Question the most ethical mechanic I've EVER met 5/14/2011

I have been a customer of John Biss for several decades. I have ALWAYS been treated with the utmost respect, courtesy and even have developed a friendship. John and his entire staff go above and beyond to ensure that i am happy with the results of their work. They use quality parts and have a great warranty. John has at times provided me with one of his own vehicles as a loaner. The folks here who dis his business have pretty obviously gone way out of their way to trash something in a dishonest fashion. Over 2 decades I have only seen hundreds of smiling customers at his counter, heard most called by their first names and seen them leave very satisfied. Once, my brother came into town in his motor home, had a problem and John himself came down and got him back on the road in 1 day instead of what my brother expected would be at least an extra week in Meridian. Instead of spending several thousand dollars (my brother's fairly educated estimate), he was out a few hundred dollars and left with the same feeling that I have about Idaho and idaho's small businesses.....paradise compared to virtually any place else. i RUE the DAY that i left my car with john's. they took my list of a few window and door issues and an engine gage and turned it into a $5000+ list of things i should fix. i said no, just do a few of the original problems. john called and warned me my car would fail me if i didn't at least replace about $800 worth of hoses. when doing that, they found another $800+ things to do with ignition and injection. i said no thanks and they put it back together and within 100 miles it was burning oil and within 400 it was up to 3 quarts, and the engine had been running perfectly before they touched it. they won't take any responsibility since i refused to do EVERYTHING they wanted me to. beware beware beware...they took me for $1800 and ruined my engine so now my car is worth $500 as a trade in. their "guarantee" is a false advertisment. i would have been better off with teenagers at speedi lube. more

STRAIGHT UP TOLD A LIE 5/10/2008

I had brought a 2001 grand am to John's aut for failed emissions test. I agreed to a 180 dollar system check was told they needed to drop the tank and would run 382 dollars. I paid the 382 went home looked under the car and realized the tank wasnt even touched. A $30 plastic ""fuel tank vent valve"" had been installed and had to take all of about 10 minutes to install. I am frustrated with the dishonesty and am sick thinking about how many other people have been taken advantage of at John's Automotive in Meridian Idaho. Spread the word about this SHAM OF A BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pros: Great way to waste your hard earned cash Cons: Yes. They are cons at John's auto in Meridian Idaho more

WORST AUTO SERVICE EVER 3/7/2008

Mechanic can not determine what is wrong with my vehicle after I spent $1,100, my vehicle have same issues as day when I took it to Johns. I went back and he told me to replace Mass Air Flow sensor what i did, twice and still same issue as day one. I was told when service was done and that I will be very happy. more
