Excellent food, much better then I expected. The duck meatballs and the Thai ribs were just phenomenal, the fish of the day cooked perfectly, same with the fillet. I can absolutely recommend this restaurant. more

I found Johnny V to be very enjoyable. Contrary to some of the negative reviews, both of our dishes were very flavorful. I had a sweet potato crusted Grouper and my wife the Salmon. Both very well done. The dessert was average (cupcakes) but we may have made a poor choice. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was okay. I feel the experience and the food was appropriate for the price. I would definitely go back. more

First time at Johnny V's...Had high expectations. Food was presented very well, but the flavors were mild. I was expecting very bold strong flavors. Also very expensive!\r Great Chocolate cake. \r Service was ok, the servers teamed up...the girl would come by and say"Is everything delicious"...? I heard that 3 times....That is bizarre. It was good not delicious.\r Need to try it again to give it a fair shake. more

Great restuarant. The little tomato soup they give u between portions is as delicious as it is cute. The must get appetizer is for sure the goat cheese empanada. It's amazing. And for dinner, definantly get the surf and turf. Johnny vs may not be cheap but it is worth it! more

Excellent service, great tomato soup. However my date & I both agreed that our entrees were more aesthetically pleasing than they were delicious more

Delicioussssssssssss! 11/8/2007

The food is just amazing! This is the first place in South Florida that see a cheese a cheese menu, and I'm a cheese fanatic! The selections are varied from all parts of the world. Everything we tasted was extraordinary, from the cheese to the tuna sashimi to the steamed clams, crown of lamb and the dessert. The service was also very good; it could have been because we were a big group and were ordering the most expensive items of the menu. The waiter was a bit snobbish at first, but loosened up a bit. I recommend this restaurant very much, the ambiance is nice, and it was crowded on a Saturday night. more

Outstanding 3/11/2007

My friend and I are visiting the area from New York City, and we dined at Johnny V's last night. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. I started with the Maytag Blue Cheese salad, which could easily be the best salad I've had in my life (the bacon in it is cured with apple molasses). For my entree I had the Four Shells, which comes in a tomato saffron broth (no skimping on the saffron!). My friend had the romaine salad and a halibut special, and she was extremely happy with her meal as well. The entrees are far from run-of-the-mill at this place. They are extremely creative and different. Pros: food, service Cons: $$$ more

Innovative Food, Bad Service 12/11/2006

We went out here recently for lunch. The Lunch menu is unique and one of the better among Las Olas restaurants. Although we enjoyed our food the service left much to be desired. We ordered drinks from the bar and they had no bartender, so the waiter attempted to make our drinks - which turned our horribly. Being the only people there our food took a very long time to arrive (we ordered simple sandwiches). It seems to be understaffed for Lunch, perhaps Dinner is more enjoyable. Pros: Innovative Food Cons: Slow Service more

Very CLASSY restaurant 10/28/2006

We have passed this place many times going up and down Las Olas and ""Who Knew?"" Now we have this place on our top 5 restaurants in the area and would recommend this one. Pros: Service and Fodd Cons: Parking more
