No other dealer will match! 6/17/2010

Yes I would definitely recommend your dealership for service because Jose was very knowledgeable of his craft and respecting what I wanted and my budget. I will be going back for future services. Along with his knowledge he was willing to here what I had to say. He kept me informed of what was going on and kept checking in with me from time to time. Which was very good. No other dealer has ever showed that much appreciation for my business. That is why I'm writing this review. more

Great service team 4/22/2010

I have worked with John Eagle Honda since I moved to Houston in 1988. They have always been courteous and went far beyond what I have experience with other dealers. Recently I had my car repaired and Richard went out of his way to make sure I had a car for my 90,000 mile service, even though I came in at the last minute). I find that the Richard and the service team are Very attentive and they often know me by name when I come in. more

Excellent job! 4/6/2010

I currently own three Accords, all from John Eagle Honda. Clevester in new car sales has made the buying experience pleasant and very customer oriented. He has demonstrated that he wants to ensure repeat business, and therefore does not pressure just to make a single sale. Richard in the Service Department is a prime reason why I keep coming back to John Eagle Honda. He does a very good job of explaining maintenance issues and accommodating customers with scheduling appointments and loaner cars. more

Bunch of Liars - one after another. 3/17/2010

Adam Murray - Sales Manager Trey Seymour - Financial Manager Terika King - Fanancial -------------- Worse experience i have ever had of car buying. Be-careful when you deal with them, ask them to let you see the whole paper before signing or initialling. They purposely fold parts of the paper when they write down the deals. and ask you to initial, covering parts where they would exclude stuff. more

Liars 6/3/2009

First car buying experience. Pretty much new what to expect going in but didn't know just how low they would stoop to make a sale. Luckily for me, I knew more about the car then they did. The blue book price w/ all the options was about $23,000 and I got for $18,000. Found out later that the car is also Certified Pre-owned adding another $2,000 to the value. Offered me a "free cruise" with my purchase which I baited on knowing the value of the car and their price of the car, I figured it was a win/win. Turns out the cruise was just a huge scam and the man pitching the idea to me was named DAN DAVIS. He's in charge of the internet sales division. Basically the man looked me in the eyes and lied to my face. more

Car dealer tactics 2/21/2009

I did my research got my quotes via email, John Eagle Honda Houston was the low ball bid by a substancial amount so I called and was told by the salesman the vehical was indeed $21,749.00 exc TTL. I was assured over the phone that this was the price I would pay for the car. When I got to the John Eagle Honda (after two hours) they added had $2200.00 worth of "dealer added items" on to the price and told me they couldn't "not charge for them". We walked away. I got a call later that day saying they would sell me the car "no more games" for $21,749 exc ttl. When I agreed and then pressed for financing information on the application we had filled out they immediatly hedged and would not tell me. We said no thanks. They called me back a week later and repeated "we will sell you the car at the price we quoted $21,749 exc ttl". I pressed for financing information and received %4.25-%4.90 interest range from the business office. I stated this would be acceptable and then pressed for a verbal confirmation of the car price. The salesman then came back with the price he had originally quoted PLUS $570 in "dealer added options" AGAIN!!!!! The dealer items are "Tinted Windows, Interior protection, Mud Gards, Anti Theft Engraving". It's an EX-L w/Navi I really don't think the dealer "pulled the glass out of the car a replaced it with tinted glass and engraved it etc it probably came that way from the factory LOL. It amazes me in this economy that they have a wel qualified customer ready to sign and drive and they want to play games. I and my wife are so tired of dealing with this that I think we will just drop the whole thing and wait a coupe of months or more and see how the economy shapes up. more

Great dealership if you enjoy being lied to and wasting time... 3/22/2007

Well, I wasted about 5 hours and a good bit of aggravation thanks to John Eagle Honda. I am in the process of moving and so my time this week is particularly valuable to me. To save time I contacted 5 local Honda dealers via email and after some negotiations worked out a firm deal with this dealership for a particular vehicle. It was agreed that I would just drop by to pick out the color and pay. I went there, drove it with the salesman, and sat down to complete the paperwork. No financing, cash transaction, was supposed to be smooth & quick. The salesman, Thomas Thorna (sp?) was nice enough at first. Then, as we were filling paperwork, he stepped outside and swapped out the vehicle with another one from the lot, same color/options/etc., but with 500 miles! The deal we had made was for a vehicle with 20 miles on it, that I had just driven, but after he swapped out the vehicles without evening asking me, he came back and said that the one we had agreed on had some extra delivery fee in it, and that the manager said they couldn't do the deal on it. Needless to say, I was pretty annoyed. Tom then brought me another "identical" vehicle with a dent in the middle of the hood. I was starting to get really annoyed at this point because they'd wasted so much of my time and were killing a deal that was already done before I had even driven over there. Tom didn't seem to care, and instead threw up his arms, shouted "I guess I can't sell you a vehicle" or some such, ignored my repeated requests for the name of whatever manager had instructed him to swap cars after we'd already agreed on one, turned his back on me and stormed back into the dealership, still shouting at me from the doorway. Not to be deterred, I went inside, and after being told by a number of people that they "didn't know" who their regional manager was, finally received a visit from their fleet manager, a Mr. Murray (sp?). He was courteous enough, which cooled me down a bit, but still unwilling to fix things (this took another 30 min or so). Even worse, when I mentioned how rude Tom had been, he actually defended Tom's behavior, saying "our salesmen work hard for these deals, and hate to see them fall apart," which gave me the feeling this is no unusual occurrence. I suppose if berating a customer counts as "work" then Tom actually did work pretty hard. When I got home and told a friend about it, he mentioned to me that he's also had a bad experience with this dealership before (wish I had checked with him previously). Anyway, while car salesmen have a pretty well-deserved reputation overall... this place took it to a whole new level. Dealerships like this one reflect poorly not only on their "profession" but also on the entire Honda brand. My advice... go elsewhere. more
