I've had 4 root canals by Dr Chaves, and all 4 of them needed to be re-root canal-ed with in a year. One of the crowns he put on after the root canal was faulty so I need that to...

Dr John Chaves and the nurse have my visit a non-scary, pleasant, and most enjoyable no body can say that for a dental visit experience. They are very professional and caring. I will recommend them to my friends. more

Friendly dental office 12/9/2012

Friendly dental office .I had my first appointment a couple of weeks ago. I had x-rays, a cleaning and teeth whitening. The dentist was excellent. Highly recommended. more

Dr. John Chaves is great 12/4/2012

Dr. John Chaves is great with kids. When my daughter was 5 she needed to have a necrotic tooth that she had injured on the playground pulled. He was so gentle and quick that my awestruck daughter, who tends to be very anxious about pain, was absolutely convinced that hed pulled the tooth out by magic. He even gave her a plastic box for her tooth and a dime (from his associate the tooth fairy) for her trouble. more

Root Canal is really FUN with John Chaves 6/21/2011

Well not really, but John Chaves made it tolerable and was great. \r \r Went to John Chaves woodland hills office a couple days ago and just wanted to say thank you to him and all his staff. They treated me like family, John went to great lengths to go over the procedure with me as well as to make sure that pain was a minimum. I called two places before hand to check if they took insurance and neither did, I have United Healthcare and John takes that as well as all others. \r \r The entire process was as good as getting a root canal can ever be and for that I thank Dr John Chaves and the rest of his staff. more

Most trustworthy and skilled dentist around 5/30/2011

Dr. Chaves is an excellent dentist with a wonderfully friendly and patient team. Unfortunately for me, I've been a frequent visitor to Dr. Chaves due to dental problems I'd been having for several years but he has made it more painless and stress-free than I could have ever imagined possible. more

Teeth Whitening Looks Great 5/24/2011

Dr Chaves did a teeth job for me. I am very happy with the results. My teeth look great and I am ready for the world. No more hiding my smile, I will let everyone see my teeth. The cost was within reason and Dr Chaves is a nice guy. more

The King of Smiles 5/10/2011

As an ex-model and a young doctor I always had issues with my teeth. That is why when I asked my old agency and my medical who they'd refer people often said Dr. Chaves. You know they were right about him and his staff. He really is the best dentist I have met and an amazing maxillofacial surgeon and cosmetic dentist to boot. more

The Doctor's Dentist 5/9/2011

As a fellow physician, life long competitive swimmer and an ex-swimsuit model I respect my body and often have multiple references before I make decisions. \r \r That is why when most of the other docs and swimmers mostly recommended Dr. Chaves, I made my initial appointment. Now I am the one who refers Dr. Chaves and his staff. In fact I often drive across county lines to see him and his wonderful staff. more

Dr. Chaves is the best 5/8/2011

I have been going to Dr. Chaves (woodlandhillsdentist. org/) for 2 years now after relocating from Santa Ana to Glendale 3 years ago. In that first year, I saw several different dentists in an attempt to find a new primary, and I can say without hesitation that Dr. Chaves and his staff far exceed the rest I’ve seen before him. He takes most dental insurances, does a great job, he puts you at ease even when you’re a bit anxious and nervous plus he’s got a very amicable staff. more

He gave me one of those white smiles!!! 5/8/2011

I had a teeth cleaning and now I have one of those white smiles. Guys really like it, and can't say enough good things about Dr. Chaves (woodlandhillsdentist. org/) and his studio. They take most dental insurances. It's a relief to have a new and very competent Dentist that takes great care of you from just around the corner. I started visiting Dr. Chaves just a year ago on a friend’s recommendation and I don’t regret a bit to have him after spending 11 years with my first dentist more

Now I can enjoy my meals for real 4/28/2011

When you get passed 40 your teeth get more sensitive to hard meals, wine, and orange fruits, this is something I noticed just recently. Can’t tell though, if these three are responsible for 2 of my grinding teeth losing strength and breaking up. And you can’t enjoy your meals with wholes in your teeth, which was a source for big pain for me. But after visiting Dr. Chaves, he fixed my molars and now I can enjoy my meals to the fullest without second thoughts. Thanks again more

Outstanding Dental Practice 4/13/2011

I was looking to have my teeth whiten. I found Dr Chaves in Woodland Hills. He does in-office bleaching or the laser bleaching. This is much faster then the bleach mouth guard and bleach. I am very happy with the results and You should looked into Dr Chaves practice if you want your teeth whiten. more

Family Dentistry At It's Best 4/8/2011

My family is happy to have Dr John Chaves are family dentist. His office staff is very helpful and courteous. The good Dr is a very good at what he does. My kids do not mind going to the dentist for their checkups. When I was a kid I was scared to death of the dentist. I am very happy with my care to. He takes most insurance plans. Need a dentist check Dr Chaves out. more

My family has gone to Dr Chaves office for many years now. He has a very good support staff and they will get you in and out quickly. Handle your insurance paper work so you don't have to. They have good office hours and are available if there is an emergrncy. more

Did a Nice Job Filling My Front Tooth 2/18/2011

I had a bad area of decay on one of my front teeth. I went to see Dr Chaves to have this taken care of. He drilled out the decay and then he did what I believe they call bonding to fill the area. The bond material matched the color of my teeth almost exactly. It looks good. What a big different this makes in my appearance. more

Got My Teeth Back After Car Accident 2/15/2011

I was in a car accident and lost two teeth. My insurance recommended a couple of dentist in the local area. I called my dentist since he was not on the list. He recommended Dr Chaves who was on the list from the insurance company. He is a good cosmedic dentist and did a good job with my teeth. I was happy with Dr Chaves.\r more
