A trip from Flint to Auburn Hills for Joe's Crab Shack is a treat around our house. We love the atmosphere - lots of music, dancing, and wild servers. The decorations are a bit strange, but offer up interesting dinner conversation. The food is excellent. I haven't had a dish there that I don't like. But then we are a shrimp and crab loving family and that's what you get at Joe's. On the down side is the cost. To feed a family of 5, we can easily drop over $100 at this place. That is why it is a treat and not something we do on a regular basis. more

Joes' Crab Shack-Great Food 3/26/2006

While Joe's is a bit gimmicky with the decorations and atmosphere that is a obviously a chain style-the food is very good. They of course specialize in crab and shrimp dishes. From salad to the entrées are plentiful and the sides are tasty. They always serve fresh bread and it is also pretty good. It is a family restaurant during the say is more for adults in the evening. They do have things the kids can eat such as chicken strips. The music is loud and so I find myself talking loud to be heard. I do like the food and service is above average. more
