Limited Selection but fair prices 8/11/2005

Although Joe's Army Navy Surplus has moved off of the popular main street, it is still the same great store offering almost all of your camping and outdoor products. The store is somewhat small, and they might not have every small accessory you may want, but they have all of the essentials for an outing. This may not be a one-stop shop, but its pretty close. Also, for a small specialty shop, the prices are surprisingly fair. more

Great low dollar outdoor equipment 8/5/2005

Joe’s has been in Royal Oak for a long time. It used to be one of the foundations of Main Street until it moved to Woodward. Prices are low enough for last minute shopping without having to look for a good deal. Selection is a bit limited, but they have everything you need. more

Good store 6/24/2005

Joe's Army Navy Surplus carries camping/sporting gear such as outer garments, coats, hats, socks, tents, etc. They have fair prices. They don't have everything you might be looking for, but that is probably because of their limited store space (it isn't a large store). The store isn't dirty or anything, but could use a "facelift." 3/5 more

During the ensuing years, Joe's enjoyed success in Pontiac as a specialty retailer of military clothing and hard goods, as well as clothing, footwear, and accessories for work and outdoors. In 1983, the Pontiac store was moved to its present location in Waterford. The Royal Oak store was added in 1988 and moved to its present location in 2001. Our goal is to offer our customers quality merchandise in an environment not found in specialty stores or the mass merchants. This unique shopping experience is derived from our product mix of commercial outdoor products and U.S. and foreign government surplus items.
