If you're craving NY style pizza, complete with plenty of ingredients and grease, this is the place to go! You walk in and feel like you've left LA. The walls are full of graffi...

pizza is good but the employees have attitude and over charge. I've paid as much as exactly $19.98 for a 18"" three topping blue collar pizza for pickup. Shoulda been according to...

The Best. Period. 7/14/2006

First off Stephanie, you've got a couple of things wrong. It isn't greasy, and there's no beer. What these guys put on one slice most restaurants don't put on a whole pizza. And the prices are ubelievable -- still 2 bucks for a basic slice and only a few cents more for each additional topping. And before you leave, buy one of the loaves of bread made from pizza dough -- it is the best in the city, and you can't touch it anywhere for the $2 they charge -- $1 if its a day old. Pros: Incredible pizza, great ingredients, super garlic quotient. Cons: Was there yesterday for lunch -- 105 outside and no air conditioning. more

Love the Pizza 3/21/2006

Joe Peep's is probably my all-time favorite pizza joint in Los Angeles. Their pizza is absolutely fantastic. I usually order a medium-sized pie with pepperoni and mushrooms. If you live in the valley or nearby, don't miss out on a chance to experience pizza heaven. It doesn't get much better than this folks. Pros: Pizza, Ambience, Pizza Cons: Not much sitting room more

A Los Angeles Institution. 2/16/2006

Joe Peeps joins Los Angeles classics like Pinks, Tommys and Phillipes. The perfect food? Probably not.....but damn close! more

Great Pizza, dump of a place 12/12/2005

Everything good and bad said about this place is true. The pizza is greasy, covered in toppings and smothered in garlic. It falls apart, is extremely messy and not healthy. The place is covered in Sharpie pen markings that anyone can write. It's a turn off if you prefer clean or ambience, but can be see is as unique. Pizza is great but garlic bread was extremely weak Go for pizza and not much else! more

Still Here! 7/11/2005

I have been going to Joe Peeps since the 70's, and his father always made my pizza. I worked at the barber shop next door, and we would get a large tray, un-sliced, and beers from the liquer store there. Years later I moved back in the neighborhood and wasnt surprised to see them still there. Had to have at least three a week! Drool! more

One of the Top Pizzas in L.A. 7/10/2005

I've had Joe Peep's pizza twice. And both times it more than satisified my hunger. more

Definitely an A+ 5/18/2005

I highly recommend this pizza place. the toppings are fresh, the service is efficient, and an overall great dinning experience. but i do recommend that you order out, unless you want a trully unique environment. :D more

Not a Bad Slice of Pie for LA 3/25/2005

The best crust, tangy sauce and some of the best sausage I have ever tasted. This place reminds me of New York. Go and order a small pie with sausage and mushrooms, when hungry you could probably finiish the whole pie!!! more

Save your time and money! 1/10/2005

I dont understand whats to like about this place. the pizza is average at best. Definitely not worth the cost of delivery. So greasy the pizza could not even hold itself up! Very disappointed. Pros: lots of toppings Cons: , greasy more

Top Notch Pizza 9/20/2004

This is my favorite pizza in LA. I'm a fan of both Chicago and NY styles, have lived in both places, and in general find LA pizza awful. But this is one of the few pizza places around town that does its own thing and does it well. Get the regular not the thin crust. (It's not really NY style- it's not very thin- but it is GOOD.) And get a bigger pie than you think you need. It's very filling, but the larger the pizza the better the crust gets. I think they tend to make the smaller ones too thick. Pros: Excellent Pizza more

Pizza Gods 3/12/2004

most amazing pizza in the world. its so loaded with greasy drippy yummy toppings, youll spend hours discovering different ways to eat it. and despite what everyone else says, this place is the most comfortable resturaunt in los angeles. the high ceilings keep it cool and the tagging on the walls give you something to talk about while your pizza is being made. Pros: Food more

Best damn steak sandwich in the world 12/11/2003

Joe peeps has the best damn steak sandwich in the world. I really miss joe peeps since moving to seattle 11 years ago. But go there when ever i am in L.A. Joe peeps brags that they will deliver anywhere. I once paid $45.00 to have one steak sandwich delivered 35 miles from thier store. when the sandwich was delivered it was still hot and delicious. more

Great Food. Great CASH prices. 8/7/2003

This is their only store. AND ITS AWESOME! Cash discounts. Great home-made bread. Tasty antipasto salads too. LOVES IT! Pros: Good Parking, Authentic, Value Cons: No Ambience more

Best pizza in L. A. 6/23/2003

Order the regular portion of sausage and peperoni with extra cheese. Of course you are ordering it to go. Once you stop by, you will know why, no one eats it there. Pros: sausage, peperoni, extra cheese Cons: ambiance, seating more

A dump, but with good food 6/12/2003

The place is pretty much a dump, but the pizza is very good. Prices are a little high... more

Great pie at local dive 8/19/2002

Go only for take out...best pizza in town! Very rich and heavy pizza, loaded with toppings. The crusty dough is slightly sprinkled with garlic and the sauce is generous. Call ahead...on weekends it takes longer. Pickup if you can, their delivery charge is pricey. A must try pizza joint. Pros: Friendly staff, food is always great, best pizza around Cons: improve the decor, looks dirty inside more

Like I'm back in New York! 8/17/2002

I admit, I'm biased. I grew up in New York, so New York pizza IMNSHO is the best in the world. Finding good pizza in Los Angeles is next to impossible, unless you look in North Hollywood and find yourself at Joe Peeps. You can't beat the food, and while you wait, you can read the walls. Burn the Domino's coupons and get some real pizza right here. Pros: The food!, The price!, The walls! ;) more

Great Pizza 7/14/2002

This is one of the best tasting pizzas around. They deliver anywhere, yes anywhere. The sauerkraut and pepperoncini pizza is my favorite. It sounds weird but try it, you'll like it. Pros: Great Pizza more

The Best Pizza by far... 7/14/2002

Without a doubt, the best pizza you will find in southern cal. Worth the trip and worth the wait. The place is set up more for delivery and takeout, but there are a few tables. And if you stop in, bring a marker to scribble on the wall...its allowed. more
