I can't say enough good things about this salon. My wife, who is a constant complainer, was making my life miserable, with her bad hair days. She has gotten haircuts from Chelsea there, and we are both delighted with the results. I have waited in the reception area for her, and must say that the entire staff is friendly and fun to be around. They've been around for years, and there is no substitute for experience. Its in a cute neighborhood, 2 blocks from the beach. There is a great deli called Leonardo's across the street. We've had out of town guests stay nearby at the Palos Verdes Inn too. Love that beach air! more

I've had my Hair Cut (by Lisa C), Colored (by Lisa C), Styled (by Chelsey) and Straightened with the Keratin System (by Tabitha). I've had a facial and brows shaped (by Kevin) and have had a great experience each time. The people in this Salon are the best. I saw a beautiful Make-up and Up-due for a bride to be (by Jamie). They actually know what customer service is! No snobs! Everybody is friendly and pleasant and know what they're doing! I would refer anybody for any service they offer. more

I had my hair cut today by a girl named Chelsey, just moved her a week ago(should have been the tip off), we consulted for at least 45 one day and then I came in today (and I had told her I got a hair cut about a month ago and all the problems I had)...she cut it exactly the same way!! But worse! I told her it was my anniversary and so the least she could have done was try and style it a little, it is awful, my sides are cut layer by layer (she thought it would be good and I agreed!) AHHHHHHH!!! I am sitting her with a pony tail in my hair which I have spent the last year in...she is awful, the place is awful, I even went back in at 4:40 to see if someone could just maybe curl it (for my dinner), NOPE, ""everyones gone home"" BS!!! I saw them all....I would recommend this place to my dog!! I hate them!!!! more

I came in with long, full hair sitting just above my waist. I asked for layers but I wanted for them to start low similar to the Victoria Secret models. I already had that haircut but the layers had grown out some and wanted them redone. Anyhow, the layers came out horribly choppy and they have absolutely no flow to them. They should have a feather layer look to them and they don't. Also, adding to the choppy look the layers surrounding my face were done in such a way that they look like dog ears. They sit too heavy and full around my face. It should be heavy and fuller at the bottom layers (not around my face) and lighter on top to allow more movement and less width around my face. OMG! I'm so disappointed. I normally go to this other place in the South Bay, but I wanted to try something different bxc my regular hairstylist is too much of a flirt that it has made me uncomfortable to continue going to him. Ahhh! So I tried this place out because the outside of the salon looks appealing. The inside of the salon looks outdated by the way. The style I asked for was very basic not at all a new hair style. I would not recommend this place at all. In fact I'm going to have this other lady fix my haircut. Her name is Maria and she works at City Salon in Huntington Beach. I would have gone to her first but I don't like the drive and wanted to find a local stylist that I could have more accessible on a regular basis. What a waste. The haircut at Oliveri was $60. I would have paid around that much at City Salon. My advice - reviews do really say a lot about a place and if you're a girl who gives a damn about your hair stick to what you know or what has been highly recommended to you. I came to the salon for a hair cut and was surprised that the staff was so friendly. I was able to describe the kind of cut that I wanted (made sure to say scissors only) and the stylist gave me a good cut. It was well worth it. I will be back again. Thanks. Pros: clean and professional more

The service I received was better than any place I've been to. I've had trouble with my frizzy hair being cut wrong & my color fading too quickly. I would recommend this salon to everyone I know. I already have 2 friends with appointments for next week! When I walked out of the salon I felt as if I was a new woman. The color and cut was impressive and I booked my appointment for next time to make sure I could get in! more

I would never go back or recommend it to anyone. It is too expensive for the low quality haircuts and styling. more

Exactly what I wanted!! I had so many bad experiences with my hair and I definitely knew what I DIDN""T want. They gave me a consultation and I felt completely comfortable! She was the sweetest ever and knew what she was talking about. I walked out of the salon bouncing! The color and layered cut was gorgeous! She even explained how to do the same style at home. I was completely satisfied! It was the most quaint salon I've ever been to and no one was snobby. I'd seen the salon for years! It has the big statue of a head on the corner. Can't wait to go back to Jamie. more

A friend recommended me to this place. It's the only decent salon I've ever gone to and I love it. Everyone that works here is nice. It's a nice place and noone is snobby. The prices are reasonble. Carlos is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!! more
