My first experience with Christie Mumm at JLM Creative Photography was in 2008 when I was pregnant with my first child. I had the honor of being a 'model' to help build her portfolio for pregnancy and newborns. I was truly blown away by the high quality of the photos, her creative choices visually and her eye for flattering angles (I was huge and pregnant after all). My husband, who hates getting his picture taken, was featured in the pregnancy pictures with me and looks so great and natural mostly due to Christie's easy going personality that made us feel so comfortable and relaxed in the process.
Christie also took my daughter's newborn pictures. She came to my home mid-morning (a huge convenience as a new mother) and though I was still in my pajamas and our photo-shoot location was on my nasty brown carpet in front of a window, she managed to put beautiful fabrics down which hid our location but took full advantage of the natural light in the room. As my daughter took center stage, Christie even managed to capture her little smiles! They turned out beautiful.
I also had the opportunity to have family pictures taken when my daughter was one-year-old. Christie took us to a great location just west of UNR with a bridge and great vegetation. The pictures looked really natural with great lighting, making my non-photogenic one-year-old look like a model. I was so pleased.
I have recommended Christie to my friends in the Reno/Sparks area and they have been very pleased with their experience and photos as well.
