Jioio's Family Restaurant

I have had many delicious meals from jioios. long time customer. i will never eat there again after being treated the way i was. i called and ordered italian sampler. picked up and when home found they gave me fried sampler. called to tell them and all waitress would say ""i repeated your order and you agreed"" she answered all my questions with this same comment. yes she repeated order but only said sampler. then she says what do you want me to do ""i cant come and get it""i then called and spoke with the owner tony. he says ""not first time we made this mistake"" "" What do you want?""then hung up on me. I guess they were having bad day but i felt they found me very unimportant. esp when i have been a loyal customer. more

Don't confuse this place with the place in Latrobe. This is not Jioio's of Latrobe. I'm not even sure if they're related. Jioio's pizza in Latrobe is so good I drive there every other week to get their pizza. This place once is enough. more

I'm glad there's another Jioio's. For some reason the Greensburg location has better food. The pizza at the Greensburg location tastes so much better than the one in Latrobe. The service is better and staff is also much nicer at the Greensburg location . What's up with the poor service and bad attitudes at Latrobe? Pros: Better than the Latrobe Jioio's! I moved to Greensburg and tried the Jioios in Greensburg. I was Disappointed because the pizza was NOT the same (as good) as the one in Latrobe that I have eaten at since I was a kid. Mr. Fred Jioio always treated us good and would give us some of his homemade wine when we were there. Greensburg Jioio's staff was rude and uncaring. The staff consisted mainly of young girls who didn't seem to care about the customer, only their hair and looks. The pizza was bad enough and we had to tolerate a discourteous staff. I couldn't get my wife to their bathrooms because they are in the basement, she uses a walker since her accident., heck I almost fell down the steps on the way to the bathroom and no one cared. I went back to Latrobe even though I live toward Youngwood. The treatment is better and the pizza is correct. But then again the restaurant belongs to the founders of the recipe and the restaurant. The Jioio's in Greensburg is the best pizza around town. The service is excellent and the atmosphere makes you feel at home. The pizza is by far the best of the best~!!!!! Pros: Food, service, enviorment, six pack sodas, everything more

My family and I have been going to Greensburg Jioios for years. It is always conciderd a treat to go there for dinner. Their regular pizza alone is to die for but their special white pizzas are even better! The light sweet crust with white sauce and yummy pierogies tastes like heaven! Everytime I go I ALWAYS get a slice of their fluffy chocolate homemade gobb cake which is so delicious. Whenever we dont have time to eat in the dinning room, take out is speedy and acurate! I highly recommend Greensburg Jioios to anyone and everyone. Pros: Pizza and family friendly service. Cons: Parking on Tuesdays and Fridays. more

I moved to Greensburg and I was told to try Jioio's restaurant many times. So I did and thought it was good but not great. I told my friends who sent me there and they then said ""The one in LATROBE is what we meant! That's where it all began."" So I gave it a try (I didn't know there were two) Boy was I surprised! It was packed and there was a waiting line, so I figured there must be something differant here. Once I was seated, I ordered a Pizza, Soup, and thought I'd try some lasagna. MMmmm! I am hooked! The Latrobe restaurant has me coming back twice a week, there is something to be said for the Original! I was told by the waitress there that Mr. and Mrs Jioio started the restaurant back in the 1950's and Mrs. Jioio invented the dough for the pizza, she also said Mrs. Jioio passed away in 1994 and Mr. Jioio just passed in the last couple of years. Apparently their Grandaughter owns the resataurant now and has been running it for the last 15 years or so with her Grandfather. GOOD JOB! Most businesses don't last after the owners sell it or pass away, but not this one! Super! Pros: Real home made PIZZA and delicious sauce and meatballs! Value. Cons: Small bathrooms---but I hear they're remoldling. more

I grew up in Latrobe and every Friday night we would order Jioio's Pizza. Even to this day when I go back and visit my family....its a MUST on my TO-DO list to get some Jioio's Pizza. Since living in Las Vegas, NV for little over 6 years now...I can still taste the sweet pizza crust and the hot cheese in my mouth. This pizza is like nothing I have ever tasted. At first, I didn't know what to think. The second time I was hooked. When my wife and I visit her parents in Latrobe we stop every time. For all you Steeler fans, the store in Latrobe is only a mile from the Steeler's training camp. The only negative is the speed of the service, expect to be there a while. more

Being born and raised in Irwin and after moving to Florida some 20 years ago I have found no other Pizza to compare to Jioio's. Tony and his family run a top notch place. I often travel to Greensburg from Florida just for the Pizza. I order Jioio's pizza and pasta sauce by the case and have it shipped. DO NOT miss this Pizza. No other pizza comes close to Jioio's. All of my family lives in or around Latrobe and i live about two hours north. So as a special treat every time i go to visit them we HAVE to go to Jioio's or order take out. We have even ordered a party cut of 30 pieces to bring home and freeze. And it never lasts long. The dough is so light and crispy that one person can eat a half a pizza(or more)by themselves. I've almost done this one to many times! But it is so irresitable! If you've never been there you really need to check it out!!! Pros: GREAT PIZZA!, great soup!, and great service! Cons: Far away, very little parking more
