Jinny's Bridal Center

After visiting their store on a few occasions shopping for a wedding dress I finally ?settled? on a wedding dress. I felt pressured to get a dress on order as the sales assistant mentioned several times that I really needed to get a dress ordered to avoid rush fees. I placed the required 70% deposit of $619.44 down on a dress and signed the receipt, this happened on April 27th, 2011 at approx. 8:15pm (the store closed at 8:00pm). As I drove home I cried all the way knowing that I was pressured and this was definitely not a dress I loved. When I got home at approx. 9:30pm (66 mile drive home) I immediately called Jinny?s and left a detailed voicemail to ?not order the dress?. The following afternoon the sales assistant ?young Marina? (there are 2 Marina?s that work at the store and they refer to one as ?Young Marina?) called me confirming they received my voicemail to not order the dress and I told her that I would be back in the following week to look at some other more

The worse bridal store in the OC! Overall they are good at getting you through the door and capturing your business, but they lack experience in what is truly important...customer service, quality, educating their customers on the process, follow-through, organization, attentiveness, and sensitivity. I do have to say that Lyn & Marina were the best two specialist to work with?they were the sweetest & kind ladies there. The owners on the other hand : Julie, Jinny & John are by far the worst at following through as promised, they are rude & insensitive...they really don't care about making the customer happy! Julie is the worst...she rolls her eyes at you (RUDE) and straight out LIES! I had bridesmaids who had their dresses ordered up to 3 sizes too big, holes in my veil, horrible, poor quality & expensive alternations, and a refund promised that was never given. Oh and don't get your alterations done there, their quality is so poor and their seamstress' are rude and most of the time don't understand what you are asking them to do. When I mentioned that I would be contacting BBB and the Small Claims Court, they said I would never win, that they deal with this all the time and they are used to it?that ought to tell you something about them! I honestly would NEVER refer anyone to shop at Jinny's Bridal! I should have stuck with Marry Me Bridal...4 of my friends have gone through Marry Me Bridal and dealt with Maria there, she is awesome and they actually walk you through the measurements/alteration process. I went here with my friend when was having her fitting and I ended up trying on dresses myself. The staff members were very helpful even though I did not have a clear wedding date in mind. That week they had a Maggie Sottero trunk show and I fell in love with a dress. Unfortunately I had to turn it down due to the uncertainty of the date. I was very happy with my initial visit to try on wedding dresses. My consultant's name was Stacy (haven't seen her since, wonder where she went) and I thought she was great. She helped me find the perfect dress... and it wasn't even a style I thought I would like. Pros: prices are good Cons: high pressure sales, alterations no good more

1) Jinny's Bridal rips the designer tags out of all the dresses. If you ask who the dress is by, they won't tell you. They do this to avoid cross comparisons with other stors. THEY WILL NOT TELL YOU WHO ITS BY. more

I have had a couple of excellent experiences with Jinny's Bridal, as a bride-to-be. I have also referred two of my co-workers there, and they both recently purchased their wedding gowns from Jinny. Pros: excellent customer service, good prices, accomodating Cons: none more

My horrible experience with Jinny's Bridal dates back to December 2008. I still get angry just thinking about my nightmare-ish experience with them. I have no clue how they manage to stay in business.. at all. They are the rudest, saddest bunch of ladies I have encountered. I signed up for Citysearch just to write this review. I had a good time shopping at Jinny's. They had a large selection of gowns and were helpful. I liked that the staff was not pushy or too involved. I found my dream dress somewhere else, but would have been very happy with several of the dressed I tried on at Jinny's. I bought my veil here and got a great deal! more

I've been to Jinny's several times, but never as the bride (yet). I helped my best friend choose her gown and was there to experience/witness the straightforward quote & great service she received. I was amazed that nobody was trying to "make a sell" and just helped us with soooo many dresses. We went for her to try on dresses 3 times before the bride decided and every time the staff at Jinny's was great. Pros: Local business - Very friendly & experienced staff - Wide Selection more

We looked at all kinds of places for the best deal on a bridal gown in Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernadino, & Orange County for the same dress at many of the other stores they were charging $3,000 more & one it was $7,000 more then at Jinny's Bridal Center's price. I see some of these reviews that are not true & faults about Jinny's Bridal these are other bridal store persons that are jealous & crazy wacked-out brides that don't know what there talking about. Jinny at Jinny's Bridal Center was so so nice & all the staff there are top notch professionals in the wedding service industry we bought my wedding gown plus all are bridesmaids dresses there, also we had a family friend do the alterations for our wedding gift, but my good friend had hers done at Jinny's Bridal this past year & was totally happy with the work. I am amazed at what other reviewers have said about Jinny's Bridal!!! First, let me say that I have not gotten my dresses in yet so, I am not sure about any problems once they arrive, however, I cannot get over how helpful EVERY SINGLE PERSON in this store was!!! Marina, Cheri, and Jinny herself have all gone out of their way to make sure my experience and my special day will be better than ever!! more

I bought my wedding dress from Jinny's and had a great experience. I went to about 10 different stores and they had the best selection and the best prices. I liked the different styles they had to choose from and the sales ladies were very helpful and knew what would look best on me. I got my mori lee wedding dress for $700! (It was originally $1,400) It was heavily beaded with intriquet embroidery too. I would recommend this store to anyone! more

I would warn anyone against going here. My sister bought here wedding dress here and it came in way too big: somehow it'd been manufactured incorrectly. On my wedding dress the zipper broke the first time I put it on. It's weird how both our dresses had problems.... I seriously wonder if the dresses are offered so cheaply because they get the ones that didn't make it through quality assurance. Jinny's bridal is so bad that it takes the owner to get on here and post a 5 star review for herself further insulting the poor women whos bliss was shattered by their horrible customer service. I strongly recommend not going here! This was my first time trying on dresses for my upcoming wedding and I had horrible service. I had several employees asking me if I needed help, but yet no one would help me. I was asked several questions and then ignored as if I was never there to begin with. Even with an appointment, I still waited for roughly an hour for any kind of service at all. I started my search 6 months prior to my wedding. I knew it could be difficult to find a style I could afford and I know that it takes 8-10 weeks to order wedding dresses. I went to Jinny's on the suggestion of several vendors from a Long Beach bridal show. They said that Jinny's had a great selection and prices that were approx. 20% below standard high end shops. I went in with a certain silhouette in mind for or my frame but my sales associate, Marina, made addtional suggestions. Marina was helpful & she did not rush me through the process and ended up choosing my ideal dress that was completely different than I expected. Out of the 10+, I chose the 3rd most expensive but it was silk and not poly so I was purchasing quality and a new 2008 design. These dresses are NOT made to the persons body measurements, they are made to the manufacture charts. I was shown the size chart after I was measured. I viewed the chart and saw how the dress was going to be cut and would need to order to the largest body part size and would have to alter down for my final measurements. I am normally a size 4 and the chart shows me as a size 8 so I ordered a size 8. My dress was took about 7 weeks to come in because the dress is made when an order is placed. I think there are generally complaints to this and any specialty dress shop establishment because the bride will either change her mind, she is not realistic about her measurements or she gains weight. I encountered several "bridezillas" at the shop during my appointment and I feel bad for the pressures that the sales staff has to endure when the brides have attitude issues. At this writing I have wait until I get closer to my wedding day to alter my dress. Overall, I had a very easy breezy shopping experience at Jinny's and my dress is a beauty.
