I brought my car in for free estimate on muffler. He turned around and tested my crank shaft censor and said it was bad and need to be replaced. I disagreed and wanted second opinion so I arranged to go pick it up. When I got there, the censor was still out and the car was not in a drivable state. He told me to come pick it up later cause all technicians have left. He also pressured me to fix the car with him because he had already put in so many hours to diagnose. He was going to charge for labor now if I take the car elsewhere so I decided to just go with it. two days after the car was fixed, the issue (service engine light and it's ability to drive up hill) came back! I took it in and left my car there for two days, when we went to pick it up, he said that the issue is from the muffler. When the first, he said there was nothing wrong with it!!!! So I asked for a quote and here's what he said, "I need a testing equipment that will be shipped from California"!!!! So this means that he lied to me from the beginning!!! Oh, and not to mention the mean old receptionist who called me cheap when I asked for discount since the service was so freaking expensive!!!!! As of now, my car is still not fixed!!!!!!!! I have been going to Jim's Automotive for over 15 years and I always know I will get a fair deal and he will not do work that is not necessary. He gets the best parts at the best possible price. I highly recommend him. He is always busy so call ahead for sure! more

As good a mechanic as he may be, I strongly suggest that if you have a conversation with this guy that you put it on tape, otherwise you just might get a totally different story, just like I did! He made lots of promises about being able to help out getting things arranged with the car then when the time came he completely went the polar opposite. Bad business, bad customer service. more

I can't explain in words how much I appreciate Jim's work and honesty. Over the past two or so years that I have been taking my car to Jim, I can safely estimate that He has saved me $2000 that the vast majority of shops in the area would be more than happy to rip me off for. I would know because this is roughly the total from all of the over the phone estimates that I have recieved over the past 5 times I have brought my car in. Every single time Jim's has been cheaper and had my car out in no more than TWO days. Even for serious repairs. I have literally suggested this shop to every family member and coworker that runs into car troubles. Needless to say my car and all of my future cars will be serviced by Jim and no one else. Thanks again Jim, your hard work is seriously appreciated. more
