Jimmy Kelly's is located in an old house so it has all those quaint charms you would expect. Unlike the upscale steak chains (Mortons, Ruth Chris) the filet we had was not smothered in salts and seasonings that leave you looking for water for the next 24 hours. The natural flavor of the meat was allowed to speak for itself and it was a great cut of meat. We had reservations and were seated immediately. I think our waitress was fairly new and was certainly much younger than most of the wait staff. They offer a nice choice of wines and deserts, more

Enjoyed a great southern styles steak dinner that was accompanied by friendly service and easy going ambiance The ""burger"" largest I have ever seen and a Tatar to match. We had no room for dessert Loved the mini pancake appetizers that arrive with drinks more

I first discovered Jimmy Kelly's more than 20 years ago. Over the years, it has been the scene of many happy celebrations for me and my family. The service is without peer, and the steaks are the best anywhere around. Most of the wait staff have been at the restaurant for at least 5 years, and the flow of their service is seamless. Of course, Jimmy Kelly's is known for their steaks, but there are many other wonderful options to choose from as well. You will not be disappointed! Set in a the charming atmosphere of a turn-of-the-century home, it is as welcoming and comfortable as a favorite English pub. I would be happy to eat there every week if possible! more

I love love love Jimmy Kellys. You have fun and the people there are always having a smile on their face. One of the highlights to my birthday was getting my pic with Arthur. HE IS THE BEST he laugh's and tells great stories. He has been a staple there for as long as I have been coming and this year I will be 47 that should tell you something... I would never go any where else but Jimmy Kellys for my Birthday... more

Thank you so much for providing such a great place to celebrate my Dad’s 80th! Everything was ideal – the food, your staff, the cake, and of course, Arthur. My Dad had a wonderful celebration and I think you for all you did to make it great!\r P.S. Food was fabulous!\r more

Wonderful 30s ambiance, absolutely spot-perfect service by an experienced wait staff, stupendous steaks. A little pricey but absolutely worth it. Don't miss it! more

I really enjoyed this restaurant! I love their blue cheese stuffed fillet with the loaded baked potato, and their cornbread pancake. I could eat their french onion soup daily. It is a bit on the expensive side, but the service is like the cherry on-top. Everyone is very friendly. The atmosphere is very dark and ""old timing"". Also, you must try their wedge salad, IT IS TO DIE FOR! more

Don't miss this place! Great steaks and the host is the owner. Mike Kelly will stay out of your way, or he will share his family history with you. The entrees are all great, and the corn cake appetizers are out of this world. more

Definitely the best bleu cheese stuffed filet I have ever had. Frank, our waiter was hilarious. My wife and I wanted to put him in our pocket and take him home with us. Good wine selection, not too expensive. Higher prices on the menu, but you get what you pay for. Blueberry cobbler for dessert....decadent. more

We recently visited Jimmy Kelly's and thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. The service and ambiance was excellent; we were promptly seated next to a cozy fireplace and our drink orders arrived immediately. Our filets were prepared as requested and the entire meal was first class. We’re looking forward to dining with more clients and friends in this great atmosphere. more

The waiter (Big John) was funny, cheerful and very helpful. His recommendations and opinions on the food were spot on. He was very happy to answer questions about this steak vs that steak, this appetizer vs that appetizer. He was there when we needed him and not when we didn't. This man clearly knows his craft very well. more

They have the old house, the unique corn cakes, and better priced menus than the others. They've stayed $5-$10 behind the others. Very good food! more

Service was unobtrusive and professional, probably some of the best I have had in Nashville (don't expect chatty waiters). The corn cakes were amazing as I had heard, and the appetizers weren't too terrible either. Entree's were alright, but certainly not the best you can get. Remember to stick to the Filet, its what they do best. Prices were cheap compared to some places (Flemings, Mortons for example), and the setting inside the old house was nice. more

A few years ago I and my family went to Jimmy Kelly's in Nashville, Tn. My sister and myself still talk about how good the food was. I got the Ribeye- blackened yet pink in the middle. It's called Pittsburg style. Most other steak places don't even know what that is but Jimmy Kelly's sure does. It was one of the best steaks I have ever tasted in my life and I have eaten all over the U.S and I'm nearly 60 years old. It was closest thing to ""Arthurs""(which used to be the best steak place in town before it closed) that I have ever had in Nashville.. Try it you'll like it. more

Jimmy kelly's is located in a one hundred year old house in nashville's west end area. It is a beautiful old home. The service here was excellent. Our waiter was very entertaining, knowledgeable, and helpful. Very egar to please and serve. The food was good. The corn cakes and desert were excellent. I do recommend reservations. Everyone in our party of five enjoyed the food, service and restaurant. I would highly recommend this restaurant. You must have the warm brownie for dessert! It was amazing! Great place for special occasions or a nice dinner with family or friends. more

I am a Nashville native and have been to Jimmy Kelly’s on more than one occasion. The service has always been top-notch and the food prepared well and to my expectations. The atmosphere really does complete the dining experience at Jimmy Kelly's. I am sure not everyone gets everything right all the time, but a restaurant does not stay in business at the level of Jimmy Kelly's for over seventy years providing consistently bad service. more

They have a good key lime pie and a extraordinary blackberry cobbler served with ice cream. The reason I have gone back twice is because of the atmosphere and service. The restaurant is in a old house and the service is exemplary. They have a full bar and will make anything you like. They have rooms upstairs that are great for dinner party's or large groups. more

We went at the last minute but a friend was nice enough to call and get us in. An old Nashville restaurant with classic waitstaff, great bartenders, and superb steaks. Had one of the best strip steaks of many years. more

Jimmy Kelley's is a classic where the food, atmosphere and service remain first rate. This family owned restaurant shows the owners' daily attention. You are always certain to have a good experience. Steaks are the feature, but all entrees we have had are excellent. Appetizers and salads always delight. Warning: the corn cakes are addictive. more

Great Steak order the blue cheese Tenderloin, this is a restaurant that has kept it tradition and quality throughout time. I would recommend that if you are ever in Nashville you eat at the original Jimmy Kelly's. more
