Did not fix the problem 10/7/2015

I had my Ford diesel truck in this shop three times (three expensive tows) and after spending several thousand dollars and being assured that the starting problem was finally fixed, the problem persists. Very frustrating. I was treated courteously by this shop but I cannot recommend it for diesel repairs. They just didn't seem to have the skill to get the job done. When you pay to have something fixed, it should be fixed! more

I am not sure what to think of this shop. They treated me courteously but after towing my diesel truck back to their shop three times and after spending several thousands in parts and labor, they failed to fix the starting problem. They tried but I have to conclude that they just did not have the skill to fix diesel trucks. I cannot recommend them for diesel truck repair. more

27 YEARS OF HISTORY 7/29/2011

My family and I have been using Estes for about 27 years and if we did have a problem with a repair, a very rare event, they always stood behind there work and keep a great history of my car's for re-sale information. Estes is always ready to check a new investment out so you don't get a money pit to drive. Thank you for all the years of service . more

Jim Estes Garage 3/30/2011

i wouldnt recomment them as they were to me. first, they had the car for ten day plus days and all i got was more it will be done on this and it wasnt, then another day and it wasnt. the price quoate went over what they had said and i was told about it until the end. are they nice, yeah, do they know what there doing, yeah. so if ure not in a hurry and have a driveway full of cars its probably not a problem. i wont recommend them to any of my friends though!!! more

Experienced, Trust worthy Shop, Family Owned 5/5/2009

This shop is well worth the trip to Oregon City. Jay, the son of the owner is very experienced and Knowledgeable, he will always make things right for the customer! All his mechanics have their specialites so that your make of car is handled well. We have had and referred many vechicles to Estes garage and NEVER had a problem. From my toyota to subaru, ford, pontiac and my friends Motor home~! Pros: Quality Work, ALways will make things right Cons: A little on the pricey side more

Don't have your radiator fixed here 11/29/2007

We had our radiator fixed here and then the head gasket blewout a day later. \r \r Before this we also had work done one a previous car here. Everytime we had something fixed, something else would break down. We thought it was just because this car had a rebuilt engine (sold to us from Estes shop.) This leaves me a little suspicious of their abilities to do the job right the first time. more

The machanics at Jim Estes are great at what they do. I've never felt taken advantage of or scammed. The machanics will show you the problem and expalin it in simple terms if you ask. more
