Jim Dandy Plumbing

3/18 I called Jim Dandy to inquire for an estimate of a full bathroom installation, they had David came over to check our basement in 2 hours, David was nice and seemed professional during the meeting. and he told me he will work on the quote over the weekend and send it to me soon. 3/28, 10 days later, I heard nothing back from him, and I thought I'd give him a call and see if he got my e-mail address right. so, I called, and David told me that "it's funny that you call me now, as i am actually working on your quote right now and I will send it to you this evening or tomorrow the latest..... 4/5, a week later, again, I heard nothing back from David, so. I called Jim Dandy's office line instead, a lady Robin (not sure how to spell it) answered the phone, I told her the whole situation and I said: I hate to get online to complain about it, i thought I'd better call the office and figure out what happened", and she said: oh no no we don't want that, we can take care of this... so, according to her, she usually get a copy of the quote they send out, but, she didn't find any quote for me in her file. So, she contacted David and she called me back 5 minutes later and gave me the update that: David said he believes he sent the quote to you from his home computer, but, he has to double check that when he gets home tonight, and he will give you a call - the first thing in the morning..... 4/6 i checked my e-mail, nothing from david or Jim dandy... no phone calls.... so, i called back to Jim Dandy's office again in the afternoon, Robin answer the phone, I told her, there was no e-mail and no phone call from dave or your company.. and she responded to me that she was sorry that the office line was busy the whole morning, and she didn't get any quotation copy from David as well and David was calling for sick day off today.... and we will send it to you tomorrow.... 4/7 no phone call, no e-mail from them still .... totally waste my time calling them! And I will not trust them to do the job for me! more

They charged me for a video review of my drain field while it was filled with water. It turns out video cameras do not work in water. Poor customer service too. It was a terrible experience. I called another plumber the next day to diagnose and repair. Do not ever call these guys. more

Our kitchen disposal stopped working, so I decided to ask Jim Dandy Plumbing to come fix it based on the reviews here. Never again. The plumber was supposed show up between 1 - 3pm. At 3:30pm, I decided to call and ask the status. The gal who answered the phone flat out told me she would not call the plumber because it would distract him and only cause further delay. HELLO? I have been waiting 2.5hrs for them to show up. What's the point of giving you my contact number if you don't use it?? When I asked why you set 2hr window if you cannot make it, she replied, “well, things can take longer than expected, and honestly I don't know what is going on because I only come in in the afternoon.” I really don't care who she is or what time she comes in. If she is representing the company, she should act like so. It only takes a minute to call - why can't you stop what you are doing for ONE MINUTE and pickup the phone? They don’t care how long people have been waiting. AT ALL! The plumber finally showed up at 5pm. FIVE pm. He apologized, but he wasn’t terribly sorry. He giggled. My blood was boiling already, so I did not even smile at his small jokes. NOT professional AT ALL. I would NOT recommend them to anyone. more

I can not say more. Honest, the price was fair and the work was excellent. I live in Idaho and hired them by phone. You can trust this company more

We have used Jim Dandy Plumbing a couple times and were very happy with their service. They do good work and are reliable and professional. Today I needed a plumber right away. They were able to send someone right away and their charge was very reasonable! I would also call them before another plumber. more

Based on David R's review I used Jim Dandy Plumbing. The tech they sent (Shawn) was knowledgeable, professional, and provided some good advice. I had them reinstall a toilet, which took about 1 hour as the bolts holding it in place had previously rusted. Price was comparable to other plumbing company estimates. more

We have used them several times, and so have friends. Pretty good service and work from a field where lesser expectations can easily be met. I would call them before any other plumber. more
