Thursday, Feb. 12, '09 5pm My friend and I just returned from Jim Bob's after seeing the commercial several times on TV. Granted, we knew it was a big time family/kids restaurant but the commercials made us want to try it. Nothing against the family atmosphere! I had the Jim Bob's burger and onion rings. My friend had the 'all you can eat' catfish. The Jim Bob's burger says, 'comes with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle'. I had to ask for it after I was served. No biggy, but the burger was so bland. My friends catfish tasted old and over cooked. (possibly old oil) It did not warrant a 'second helping'. Tartar sauce, bland as well as the hush puppies. We did enjoy the Vidalia onion rings. Crisp and flavorful. I also ordered 12 hot wings to go, to see if I wanted to come back on Wednesday for 29cent wings. I tried one and they are pretty good but not sure if they are worth a return trip. Someone should really clean that front door, and often. It's was nasty with kid tracks... Bottom Line: I think this restaurant is great for a family with young kids looking for a cheap fill up. For the rest of us, it's just kinda bland! more

first trip to jim bob's. wife and i got the 24 mild wings with frys and celery. great tasting wings but the wings were very small and we were still hungry after eating. the wings were about half the size you get at buffalo's. we saw other people eating the chicken strip dinner and it was a generous helping and would have been less expensive. we will go back but stay away from the wings. Pros: good service, tasty food. Cons: wings very small this night. more

My family absolutely loves coming to Jim Bob's. The food is great and we never have to wait to get a table, The chicken fingers are out this world and I even tried the "Catfish" and was very impressed , The staff is very nice as well , We esspecialy enjoy free fridays for the kids . we probably go there at least once a week . I have been there four times and every time has been a great experience! The waitresses are very nice and come around often to see how your doing. It is also a very Christian based resturant. There are hyms written on the walls. The owner Benny is very friendly! They have specials every night and great lunch specials!!!!!!!!!! This is my second try at Jim Bob?s. The first time, I was disappointed because the catfish had a burnt tasted because the grease was too old. I tried again today, about a month later. Unfortunately, the catfish had the same scorched taste. If you are going to Jim Bob?s, skip the catfish. The hush-puppies are toward the flavorless side. Cole-slaw is good. I went to Jim Bob's with my friends on Tuesday night and had a great big burger and one of my friends had the wings and we went back for $.29 wing wednesday the next day! Wings were awesome. My girlfriend had the 5 finger plate and those were the best chicken fingers we have ever had. I spoke to the cashier and she said they were a chain out of Alabama for 18 or 19 years. Wow! Great food and easy on the wallet. I was really impressed with the quality and quantity of the food- you won't leave hungry. The chicken wings are DELICIOUS and very meaty. I've also tried the grilled chicken fingers and they were off the hook! The homemade sauces are a super alternative to the traditional staples. Food was made to order and very hot. Wow! These strips were juicy and very well seasoned! The fries were a mixture of waffle and straight cut. The menu includes burgers, grilled tenders, catfish and more. I will have to try those out on the next trip! Someone beside me ordered Onion Rings that looked great as well. This was my first visit but will not be my last! Pros: Great Food!
