I had eaten at Jade King many times. The food was great, the service was excellent. The manager always greeted us as soon as we came in, was very hospitable and our dinners were great. Since the new owners took over..it is scary to see how fast this restaurant went downhill. We went there last night. It was 8:30 and the place had 3 other tables already seated. Servers were milling around, but no one approached us when we entered. After about 5 minutes,the lady manager escorted us to a booth and that was probably the extent of this restaurant's customer service. It was rainy outside and we were drenched. We asked for hot tea. Well, our ice waters came out, but no tea.We waited and asked again.Our fried chips came out, yet still no tea. Are you kidding me?? We finally got our tea and placed our orders. My husband ordered Chinese food, my daughters and I ordered sushi.After about 20 minutes, my husband's food came out. We didn't receive the sushi.We waited and after another 5 minutes, a California roll was served to the table next to us to a family who had come in after us and ordered their food much later than we did.My husband asked the server ""Why did they get their sushi before we did, they got here later."" The server's answer was ""They only ordered one..you ordered many."" In the meantime, my husband's food was getting cold. We waited another 10 minutes then looked at the sushi bar and realized that there was no sushi chef. He was eating dinner. Gosh..I didn't realize what an inconvenience we caused by placing our order for ""many"" rolls. We asked the lady manager and she went to look to ""see if the sushi chef was finished."" Finished with what?!? His dinner or my order? She made no apologies or attempts to rectify the situation. To make a long story short..sushi finally came..no big deal. They reheated my husband's dinner..reheated..not so good. Will we go back? Don't think so. Words of wisdom..Lady..if you can't run a restaurant..get out of the business. The beef teriyaki bento box is no joke, it's delicious. The sushi menu is amazing with its selection. The only drawback is that it takes forever to get the food to the table and that's only with 2 people ordering. Recently, when I stopped by with my bf for dinner, service was more slow than before with a 45 minute wait and when my chicken teriyaki dish finally arrived, it was still raw. The food here is really good, whether a traditional Chinese scallion pancake, Chinese mixed seafood with garlic sauce or Japanese shrimp tempura maki and eel. This is definitely place is definitely worth coming to. Enjoy! Pros: Good food, Fast service, Wide variety Cons: So-so atmosphere more
