absolutely no issues with Frank and his crew. Always fair and not out to rip you off. I don't know how he deals with some of the people that he is forced to work with but has been a great shop to deal with. more

You would think over the holidays people would be somewhat polite and professional. This was not the case. Worst please I have EVER taken my vehicle to. I will never be back. The owner needs to have a serious talk with his employees. more

I just picked up my truck from JFK auto after receiving repairs. Whenever a job is too big to be done at home I bring it to Frank and his crew. They tell me exactly what needs service and show me where or what the issue is. I see a lot of people who get upset about the price of repairs and leave nasty comments, vehicles are expensive, JFK has very fair and competitive labor costs and if you don't like paying the price of labor I suggest you learn how to do the work yourself. The cost of parts does not benefit Frank's business. The hourly charge for labor must cover his overhead (mechanics wages, insurance, bills to run his shop) and at the end of the day he still needs to make a profit. more

Unfortunately we cannot make everyone happy, we do impounds for the police departments, which we happen to get quite a few disgruntal customers when they have to pay to get their vehicle out of impound. We strive to make everyone of our customers happy and provide the best service. We have had over 500 customers this year not including repeat ones, so we must be doing something right. you would think that with the technology of internet now a days that I would come on here to check out every business rating before I receive any type of service. I can now see why this company has such a low rating. Very poor service overall, and very immature on how they handled my situation. Beware! more

I read the review and saw that there were a few good ones on there so I decided to give them a chance. VERY unprofessional. The front dest lady kept rolling her eyes and did not seem to know very much about what was going on. BAD ATTITUDE!!! Then to make mattes worse I was talking with another ""employee"" that was also very unprofessional.... to my dismay he was the owner!!! To say the least listen to reviews.... don't give the benefit of the doubt. more

responding to the review (from the owner Frank) below: I appreciate your apologies Frank. I would like to add that I have not posted yet about your company. I (like you) have a business and understand the importance of your business name and what you stand for especially in such a small community. They say statistically someone un-happy with a business/service will spread the word 10x more than a person that has a great experience. I (having many great relationships with local business men and women in the community) found many others that have been unhappy with your service and explained they should write about it so the mass public makes a good decision before they choose a mechanic/tow shop. So that is where these 1 star posts are coming from......... I must say in my own experience with you I felt like I was treated very wrongly. I did call you, and you hung up on me. I also came into your shop, and you walked in back, then your employee decided to tell me (after I saw you walk in back) that you went home sick for the day) because I believe you didn't want to work with me. Then you called my fiance to tell me you did not want to work with me............Frank that is okay if you don't want to work with me but just like you are asking people to confront you, I am asking you to confront me and tell me to my face what i did wrong. As I told you over the phone, I did report to the BBB (then you hung up on me) To make this go away........I would like an in person apology (I will apologize for any of my wrong doings, i'm not saying im perfect) and I would like a refund of my money please. My phone number is on the receipt. Lastly I appreciate your online apology, and can only come from curiosity that I caught you on a bad day when all this went down (we all have them). I hope we can come to amends and just know i'll do everything in my power to make this right............will you? more

the last two positive posts (just like stated below) are fake. They posted on the exact same date and time. THIS PLACE IS A FRAUD! They won't stick to their word. They tell you one thing, rack the bill up and charge you more. $659 more to be exact!!!! It is very apparent that they are hurting for money and will do anything possible for business. Great mechanics, great prices! I have just moved up here recently and JFK saved my life one night by towing our car in the middle of the night, gave me and my kids a ride home at no charge. They fixed my car right away, for it was my only transportation and i needed it with having 4 kids. The prices were cheaper than 3 other local places. They talked to me every step of the way, so i knew what was wrong and how much. They are my new mechanic shop for life. more

I don't know what you other people are talking about, but i have been going to these guys for years. They are always professional, nice and do great work. They have givin me rides home and pick me up while they worked on my truck. Their prices are fair, the owner is always willing to work with me, always takes my calls. Frank has been in business for over 20 years here in the valley and has a great reputation. Sorry for the ones that may not of had a great experience, you don't know what is going to happen until they get in there and open it up, so yeah sometimes it does cost more, but that is not their fault. I will continue to go and recommend JFK Auto for all my mechanic needs. more

I should have read these reviews before I went here. Not only did they lie about the bid and charged me 2.5x what they said, when I drove my van off the lot it was still not fixed. Called to explain and they were unwilling to work with me. Called the owner numerous times and each time would not talk, they rudely told me to quit calling. I will never work with this joke of a company ever again. more

I had work done on my 1972 black chevy truck at this shop.the mechanic was unableto read a manual and thought that Portland was three hours ahead of Alaska time and wouldn't cancel a part because it was east coast time.he changed three seals on the underside of the truck and they are all three leaking.he did not put the oil filter on tight enough and it is leaking.the owner gave me a sob story about his health when in fact his mechanic told me he got a completely clean bill of health.I ordered what ever was needed and they swindled me out of $3200.the parts they ordered were all out of state when I found the same ones in state and cheaper at deans automotive and phats automotive.the owner said he would not warranted the parts because I brought them.I have lived here for over 46 hrs. And I have never been taken advantage of like this before I am an honest,hard working single mom who got taken by a very dishonest,arrogant unprofessional shop owner and his inept mechanic.thatsmy review on being ripped off by Frank whiteman. p.s.the truck did not need the new battery,alternator,voltage regulator or starter.they are the same ones that came with the truck and they are not broken.also the mechanic bad mouthed the builder of the truck and the man who sold me the carb.placed blame on everyone but themselves. On everybody but themselfs.consumer beware. more

I have been going to these guys for a few years now. The upper intake manifold on my old truck failed, I was quoted over 1900$ to repair everything on that truck at Wasilla auto mall. This was them using the computer, it seems there aren't any good mechanics left that don't rely on the computer. JFK auto did it for about 600$, Because they actually look at the problem and figured out it was an easy fix, just time consuming. The best part is, I had no money... They worked with me and I was able to pay them back while I drove my truck. These guys will do their best to cut you a deal any way possible and don't go strictly 'by the book' when it comes to repair costs. These are the 'good ol boys' mechanics. They can fix anything no matter how big or small. Great place to do business and I will continue to bring all my vehicles to them and only them. Pros: Fair, Understanding, No BS. Cons: They don't do body work or alignments. more
