I used Applegate Moving and Storage. In the process of moving a washer and dryer into my laundry room, the movers tore the flooring up in several places in the laundry room. The crew leader was immediately shown the damage and he acknowledged the mishap. I contacted the owner- Mike Applegate, who came to my home to estimate the repair cost the first week of September. He acknowledged the damage, took pictures of the floor, and told me that a repairman would contact me to give me the option of repairing it with the same quality linoleum, or possibly paying more for a better quality floor. He commented that this should be simple, as it was an inexpensive procedure, and that he would not be going through his insurance carrier. After several weeks without being contacted, I called back Applegate Moving and Storage. Mr. Applegate said he would look into why I wasn't contacted about the repair. A few more weeks went by without any call from him, or any employee to notify me of the status of the repair. So I called back again and spoke to the secretary who told me Mr. Applegate was not in the office and placed me to his voice mail, where I left a detailed message about my impatience with the process, and desire to hear back from him- however I was never called back. I subsequently called back several more times within the past month- each time leaving a message with the secretary to call me back, and an inevitable ignoring of my request. \r
This company has verbally acknowleged fault, promised to make ammends in a timely fashion, but has failed to deliver on their promise. They have continually ignored my requests, and are trying to dodge their responsibility. It is frustrating to attempt to make right on damages this shameless business has failed to take responsibility for.
