Jerry's Wood Fired Dogs

On friday, 10/23/09, I ate 2 veggie dogs at the La Harbra location and got sick within 30 minutes. I spent the whole weekend visiting the bathroom. I love their chicken dogs, but I will never eat their veggie dogs again!! Trying to be heathy bit me in the rear-end at Jerry's!! Pros: Chicken dogs are great! Just hearing the name ""Jerry's Dogs"" makes my mouth water like a Pavlovian Dog. The dogs are delicious, the choices are vasst, the food real quality. Try the potato chips - crunchy and delicious. You can even get a diet dog in the form of a dog on a bed of salad - perfect for the carb conscious (and really tasty too). But don't bother calling ahead, they don't answer the phone and don't take messages. It asks for your remote access code, but Jerry didn't give me one. I'd rate it higher if they were more responsive like a good dog should be. As they say, everyone loves a good dog - especially one that comes when called. Based on local tv reviews, we decided to try this fantastic place in Santa Ana. We arrived about 130pm on Sunday, with a line, while not too long, was constantly in motion. We snagged seats inside dining area (patio seating is avail outside). Hubby had Jerry's Signature w/skin-on potato chips & soda. I tried Uncle Frank's Italian Sausage. Once your order is ready, your number called & ask what you'd like on your sausage. Served hot on a French roll, I had mine with grilled onions & peppers, ketchup and brown mustard. WOW! Definitely a great meal!! The skin-on potato chips were so delicious I wish we had ordered 2 combos! =) The drink that came with hubby's meal was large & more than enough to share.
