Jerry's Carpet Cleaning

I was moving into a townhome. On the day of moving i arrived to find it had been vandalized by teenagers with a fire extinguisher because a door was left unlocked. The unit was covered with the dust. Jerry was one of many companies i called that day, the saturday preceeding thanksgiving. He was the only one to come to my residence and he provided a reasonable estimate, far lower than competitors who had not even come out to assess the situation. Mr jerry was polite, honest, and set-up cleaning for the following day. It took him and his crew two days, but the entire town house was cleaned top-to-bottom. I called Jerry's and asked him to quote my three bedroom house for carpet cleaning. He sai I have a $99 special for three bedroom houses but will take $90 cash since it is new year. I said okay and scheduled him to do my place. He get to my place and then tells my mother in law that he cannot do my house for that price. He called me and said I am not sure who gave that price price it is too low. He then said that price was just to clean three bedrooms but not living room or hallways. What? He tells me it is now $120 so I said fine and go ahead and do the house. Whe I return home I notice that the corners of my walls are now rubbed black and the bottom of the corners, the paint is rubbed off. I call him and he said we use protectors on the corners of all houses. (My mother in law was there and they did not use protectors on my house) I have him meet me the next dat and he tells me the marks did not come from him or his crew and again tells me that the protectors are used. Calling my mother in law a liar. Bottom line is there was not a mark in the walls of my 7 month old house and now there are. He pretty much called me and my mother in law a liar and would argue with me everytime I tired to show him anything. In my business I tell the customer okay and I will fix whatever the problem is. Of course he responded that he is a christian.....ha!! RESPONSE FROM Jerry's Carpet Cleaning: "I truly apologize if you feel that you were over charged for the work done. We give a price estimate over the phone based on how many rooms need to be done. If we get there and find that there are extra rooms or premium services (red dye, heavy soil, pet stains) that need to be done, it can cost extra. Thats why we inform our customers that this is only a price estimate. We recommend that all our customers check the house and view work done upon completion, so if any issue is present, it can be addressed and handled at the time the work was actually performed. Again, I do apologize and if you have any further questions or concerns feel free to call." more

Initially I was hesitant, but ventured out and tried Jerry's Carpet Cleaning Service ... I was pleasantly surprised. I have white Berber carpeting in our bedrooms and quite frankly was leaning toward waiting to pull them up and install wood flooring versus have them cleaned. Jerry bought me the gift of time as my carpets have been refreshed. I had Stanley Steamer clean the same carpets a year ago and there is no comparison to the quality and value. You should expect a longer drying time, but the trade off is well worth it. I turned on the ceiling fans and let mine dry overnight. more

It is difficult to get people in Mobile to do a job at Dauphin Island, especially when you live out of town. Hi There I recently had my carpet cleaned by Mr. Jerry and his assistant. I was very impress by their team work. They did a wonderful job on my home, I had three rooms plus a hallway clean. I had wine stains in the master bedroom and something like gum stain in the dinning room. When they finish I couldn't tell where the stains used to be, even while the carpet was still wet.
