Better off at Supercuts 9/10/2010

First you'll need to get Snake the barber (Simpson's) to get off his cell phone. He doesn't say hi, just says, "you want the regular," which apparently means: cut off your bangs at the roots and halfway cut everything else. Seriously, I had to re-cut my own hair and shave my own neck when I got home just to make it even. Makes me want to learn to cut my own hair. It's a great mystery to me how they have gotten good ratings. I paid $12 and $3 tip for this??? Next time I'm going to Jacksonville for a $10 Marine Corps cut or to a salon for a $25 haircut. more

Does Your Husband Need A Good Barber Shop 10/9/2005

Jerry's Barber Shop in the Heights is an old fashioned barber shop that does a great job on men's hair cuts. If your husband needs a fresh business hair cut, go see Jerry, he knows how to use the clippers. My husband's hair is thick and grows fast, he sees Jerry about every 3 weeks for a great looking haircut. All men who want that business look, will want to check out Jerry's Barber Shop. more

For a nice clean cut 8/19/2005

Jerry's is one of my favorite place to get my haircut. Unfortunately I don't live near him anymore. Jerry's is an old fashioned barber shop that is friendly to go into and you can get a great affordable cut. This place is just a plain jane sort of place, you're not going to get any wild cuts. But if that's not what you want, only a good hair cut, this is the place to go. It's located in the Western Kavanaugh area, in the heights area so it might just be near you! more

Old School charm 8/15/2005

If you're looking for a Saturday morning no-nonsense haircut and beard trim, get there early. Jerry's popular shop, complete with striped, rotating barber pole, stacks of sports magazines and the scent of warm shaving cream, harkens back to a slower, simpler time when men got hair cuts and only women went to salons. Not surprisingly, the clientele is predominately septuagenarian in nature, which only increases the charm of the place. more
