Dear Mr. Jensen:
Thank you for the half day you took on December 21 to properly fit my custom molded shoe inserts and toe forms.
Back in 1994 when I first started coming to you, I had to look up your ad in the yellow pages to find someone who could do this kind of work. I had been told this type of help was available, but I had also been told it wasn't worth the cost.
The doctors who told me that didn't have my feet. Heredity, Parkinson's Disease, and other factors resulted in very flat feet and curling toes. Until recently, the inserts alone made it possible to continue to walk. In 1994 an orthopedic surgeon told me that due to my flat arches and the stress it put on my knees, I would probably need knee surgery within a year. The shoes and inserts correct this walking problem, and as of today, I don't have trouble with my knees.
Recently, the contractions that go with advancing Parkinson's Disease resulted in my walking on my toes. The custom designed toes devices prevent this from happening. It doesn't stop the contractions, of course, but it does mean that I can walk much freer from pain.
For anyone with foot problems, I strongly recommend that they try your expertise. You can't usually cure the problem, but you can certainly provide an answer to pain free walking.
Sincerely,
Nancy
