great tour for kids 10/2/2008

Jelly Belly is known throughout the US, a lot of people from all over the world come to tour this place. I like their tour and of course their jelly belly candy, it is really "gourmet" style. My kids loved the tour and they had a great time. There is also a place where you can eat and buy food and ice cream :) check this place out if you haven't toured it yet. more

Very Exciting! 10/2/2008

I have taken the children in my childcare to the Jelly belly factory several times. I have also taken my children, and all children absolutely love it! I think the tour is exciting, however, the kids really look forward to the end where they are each given their own bag of jelly bellies...Also if they get a chance to buy some of their other sweets, they are ecstactic! more

Best time you'll have with candy! 11/25/2007

I LOVED touring this place. First, it's free. Second, they give you a cool hat. Third, you get samples.\r \r It's a lot of fun to tour the place, watch jelly bellies getting made, learn the enthralling history of jelly beans, and to view some of the interesting artwork folks have created with this fun candy.\r \r Love this place...I'd go again next time I'm in the area. more

Jelly Belly 4/4/2007

My whole family love jelly beans and so we thought to try out the jelly belly factory. As soon as you enter, you will see jelly beans all around you, on the walls, hanging from ceilings. The whole welcome area seemed to be very colorful. \r \r The first thing you do is sign up for tours. They provide tours of the factory for free. During workdays, you can see people working in the factories but during weekends, they will provide a tour of the factory but you will see the whole making process on the tv screen. At the end of the tour they give you free samples. They have sampling area where you can try some of their unique flavors - garlic, jalapeno, kiwi.... THe most amazing thing I saw there were the art pieces. They were pictures of famous people made out of jelly beans ! \r \r We had a blast there. You can plan this as a day trip. Believe me, you will come out chewing those yummy beans :) more

kids love it 9/29/2006

the jelly belly is a great place the offer tours of the factory every thirty min. the staff is great and the tour is great it amazes the kids on how the jelly belly factory makes jelly beans. more

fun tour, but go on the weekdays 2/10/2006

The factory is open for tours on weekends and weekdays, but the machines aren't operating on weekends. So I would recommend going on a weekday if possible. However the tour on the weekend was good too. They give out a sample bag of jelly bellys and you can taste test at the jelly belly bar. The store offers regular jelly belly purchases as well as belly flops (malformed jelly bellys sold at a discount). more

Sweet! 11/15/2005

How cool is this? You get an awesome tour of a really cool process and all along the way they give you free jelly bellys. And you don't have to pay to get in! Pretty cool. Jelly Bellys are by far the best candy you can buy and at the end of the tour you can shop at the outlet store where they have jelly bellys cheaper than you can get them elsewhere. Definetly worth the trip! more

This is such a fun place to visit 10/18/2005

I love going to the Jelly Belly Factory for the tour and to shop! I've been there a few times before kids and now that I have kids, I want to share this experience with them. Check the schedule to see if they have a regular tour or one where the machines aren't in progress (usually weekends). They give you lots of samples and you can even try new flavors. It's always fun to buy a Jelly Belly souvenir, even if you're a local. more

A great tour - must do if you're in the area! 9/6/2005

This is a free tour, but on of the most fun I've been on i awhile. You get to watch various types of cany being made, taste samles at different points in production, and see the Jelly Belly art collection. Great fun for kids and adults. The gift shop is a neat place to look around as well. You can find stuf that you wouldn't see in stores. The tour isn't too long, but you don't feel rushed through it either. more

Cool place to take kids 9/4/2005

I think it's important to take kids on trips that are both fun and educational and this fits the bill. The lines are long to get into the free tour, but they don't require a reservation and there are gumball-like machines along the line that vend out jelly beans for a quarter or so. That keeps the kids busy. The tour itself is probably more interesting for parents than small children, but kids like to watch. It is just remarkable how much goes into the yummy creations and you receive a free sample of them (in a bag you would buy at the store) and can sample them at the tasting area. There is also a gift shop where you can buy "bellyflops" at a discount. There is also a cafe with pizza shaped like a jelly bean or you can take a lunch with you. more

Buttered Popcorn, Cappucino, Garlic 7/12/2005

If you've ever wondered how they get a tiny candy bean to taste like say, a pepperoni pizza, this place is for you. The FREE tour nets you a paper hat, a couple bags of jellybeans, views of the entire factory including their art gallery of jellybean celebrity portraits, and the wisdom to tell your friends how it all comes together. Stop by on a weekday to see the beanmakers do their magic. more
