I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Doctor Lide and his staff! I've never felt so welcome and well taken care of! I'm the scared type and always put off going to the dentist. I did A TON of research and finally chose Dr. Lide after reading all his reviews, and the cool free whitening I received was a bonus! I'm a coupon queen and found out he's on the retailmenot website! I love Dr. Lide and his front staff and assistants. I've lived in San Antonio, Lubbock, Dallas, Garland, Rockwall, etc and finally found him in Richardson. I've compared his knowledge with other dentists and he is top notch. He has 4.7 out of 5 STARS! on Google and the best I can say is....you just can't please everyone (I'm referring to the 1 star posting people) AND people will always want to get the cheapest deal while sacrificing quality (Ex: the people who say ""they didn't need all this work""...well, all they're doing is delaying the inevitable in the hands of less qualified dentists, to only have a higher bill on their hands due to advancing decay, etc.) He has 4.7 out of 5 STARS FOR A REASON!!!!! Best I can see is that's the best rating by far for dentists in DFW!\r \r ----Anyhow, I had my wisdom teeth removed with him and it was THE BEST experience. I never had any of those horror story experiences I've read about other dentists (about saying inappropriate things after being under, not remembering waking up, vomiting, pain, etc.) He was BEYOND attentive and if anything cares more than any dentist or orthodontist I've seen for myself and my entire family. My husband also has a VERY bad gagging reflex and had to take a sedation pill prior to cleaning his teeth. Dr. Lide and his staff were GREAT with my husband and got him all clean up and good as new. :-). Definitely our dentist for life!!!!! more

Dr. Lide is a FRAUD and extremely UNPROFESSIONAL! I went in there to have a regular cleaning done and x-rays and I did not even ended up not even getting the cleaning done because it was taking so long. I was there for an hour and a half! His assistant(s) informed me that I needed to have Scaling and Root Planning on my teeth....which ended up being false. Then after all of the x-rays were taken, Dr. Lide came in and said that I had some decay...which was fine and told me his assistant(s) would give me the treatment plan. When his assistant(s) gave me the treatment plan they said that I needed 6 crowns and I had 9 cavities. I was floored! I have always gone to the dentist every six months and taken good care of my teeth. I was wondering how this could be. Also, I was thoroughly dissapointed that Dr. Lide did not even have the balls to tell me himself and that he had to send in his assistant(s) in to tell me....how unprofessional is that? I ended up cancelling my next appointment and got a second opinion from a reputable dentist. It turns out that I did not need to have the Scaling and Root planning done and I only had one cavity and one cavity replacement. \r \r HE IS A FRAUD! more

I have known Dr. Lide for many years and have to say I am quite pleased with the quality of his work. It is very clear that he knows what he is doing. You can be assured that you will be taken care of at Dr. Lide's office. more

Dr Lide is awesome. I started going to Dr Lide because I had broken my two teeth boxing and wrestling. He put in a gorgeous bridge and started piecing together a great smile for me. He is very friendly and so is his staff, Ashley and Rachel. The Dr has great bed side manner with patients and can make you feel extremely comfortable in his chair. I live in Denton and drive all the way to Richardson because he does his job very very well. I recommend him to my friends, family, and anyone else. more

I had 3/4 of my wifes' teeth redone. Her mouth was a train wreck! She has the smile of a movie star now. Outside of getting her a house this her favorite thing I've done for her.\r \r Dr Lide is THE BEST dentist I've ever been to. I've lived about 10 different states in the last 30 years so this is quite a statement.\r \r The price was excellent. The staff was tip top, and the the service was superb! My whole family has been to see Dr. Lide and we all thought he was GREAT! He was VERY patient and with my 9 year old when extracting his teeth. He made my son feel at ease and Dr. Lide's assistant was compassionate and very caring. I would highly recommend Dr. Lide to anyone who needs a great dentist. Pros: Staff, No Pressure more

I have never done this before, but had to say something about my families last dental visit. It was GREAT! Dr. Lide and his staff were wonderful. They treated my entire family like we really mattered. By this I mean, Dr. Lide took the time to sit down and explain the treatment he recommended to my husband, then to me, and his staff followed up in a very professional manner. We do not have the best insurance and have been to some offices that talked down to us because of it, but Dr. Lide's office made us feel right at home. I would recommend him to everyone who reads this as I have already sent the rest of my family to see Dr. Lide. Pros: location more

I took my husband to Dr. Lide yesterday as a new patient and Dr. Lide was not very personable. He seemed a bit annoyed to have another patient there, wouldn't take time to answer questions, and was extremely rude to his staff. \r \r I heard that Dr. Lide was friendly but the way he dealt with people while I was there proved otherwise. His new hygenist was very nice, friendly, and professional. We felt so at ease with her. It was a big dissappointment then when she asked Dr. Lide to look at an X-ray and he told her sharply to ""do your job"" and walked away!\r \r When he finally came into the room and met my husband, he had a crude way of explaining treatment options and my husband left feeling like he didn't trust the man to do the work. My husband even lost sleep worrying about treatment hours after he got out of the office! It was rediculous. He even made a point of telling us several times that if we had a question, we should ask his STAFF. Why couldn't he at least take a minute to answer some questions?!\r \r I would say that Dr. Lide is a bit arrogant and self-indulgent. After the way he talked to his staff (twice that I've seen), I wouldn't want to give him any more business. It's really aweful. I can't imagine what goes on when we are not looking.\r \r Pros: Nice staff. Cons: Left feeling uneasy. more
