I looked online for a good stylist in OC and stumbled upon this salon. I booked an appt. With Krista Wong and she did a decent job the first couple of times I went to her. However...

Such a great salon! I have been looking for such a great salon for a long time. All the girls are so proffesional and so nice. The girl who did my hair, Brianna, did an AMAZING job. I came in with brassy golden toned blonde hair.. ugh horrible, and she carefully listened to how I wanted it, and fixed it EXACLY how I wanted it. It looks amazing! she gave so many tips, and was such a sweetie. And gave me a free deep repair treatment since I was a first customer. if you want bautiful blonde hair, or highlights go to her! shes awesome <3 more

Loyal Client for Years - ask for Staci! 2/7/2012

I've been a loyal client of Staci Ruiz for years. She has taken me from long hair to short hair to curled hair to straight hair to platinum blonde to golden brown... I am REALLY picky about my hair and she is the only one I trust enough to say ""Do what you want!"" I would recommend Staci to anyone. My boyfriend even wants to get his hair cut by her next time because I'm such a big fan of hers. Not only is she talented, but she is very personable and fun to be around. Some of my hair appointments (when I wanted my long hair to have an all over weave of highlights and low lights plus a toner and also a trim and style) have taken a few hours, but the time spent is well worth it and Staci always makes me feel comfortable. She is a really hard worker and is always there for her clients 6 days a week. Highly recommended! more

Ask for Amaris 1/28/2012

You won’t be disappointed. I have been going to see Amaris for about a year now. She is the best. Super friendly and fun. I am the kind of girl that likes to go from highlights to dark in an instant and she always makes it happen. I always get complements on my hair. I love the fact that I can go in and ask her about the latest trends and she shows me how to recreate what I’ve seen/heard. (dry shampoo…my favorite trick for a girl on the go) My hair always looks fantastic but another reason why I love going there is the atmosphere. I love having a glass a wine in hand with the latest gossip magazine. It is a nice way to relax while getting beautified. -Valentina more

Never Been So Disappointed :( 1/26/2012

I was in need of a new relationship/ salon. I found Jeffrey Michael's Salon here, and after reading great reviews gave them a call. The man I spoke with was nice, I explained I had a 10 year relationship with my last salon but my favorite people had moved on. He kept me on the phone for 20 minutes before he would book my 2pm appointment, informing me of the type of client THEY desire. I didn't have time for this but since I was looking for a relationship I didn't want to start off rude. I used to pay 2x the charge of their services so I felt he was setting quite a standard in this 20 minutes & was hopeful to like this place and save money. I walked into the salon at 1:55pm and no one greeted me. At 2:05pm a man asked if I had been helped. I informed I had an appointment, he said ok and went on with his business. I sat there ANOTHER 25 MINUTES with NO ONE acknowledging me and was about to inform whoever at this point that I was going to leave when the stylist finally came to get me. She was very sweet but didn't have the experience I was looking for, at all. I am in the process of growing my hair out and getting rid of layers. I didn't go for a styled cut, I went for a trim, and my only request was to not cut additional layers - that I was fine with a not-perfect cut because it was growing fast, and my intention was for the future. During the cut we discussed her color services. She told me that she felt in order to match my blonde she'd have to block out her entire day and charge me $200! Why would I sit anywhere all day when all I need is my roots done?! She finished and blow dried in a tough damaging way with a round brush.. then decides she doesn't like it and straightens my hair - my hair is naturally straight, never used a straighter in my life, it looked more damaged after my trim! Then she informs me that she cut a couple layers in the back because she couldn't stand the way it looked. It wasn't her choice! I went to another Salon the next week for my roots and was teased for this haircut! This salon cut it for free because they felt bad for me! The only blessing in this is that I found another Salon, in the area, that has even better prices, and more experienced stylists! This is the first negative review I have ever written and I've thought about it for 3 months before doing so. I've never had such a bad experience at a salon before & I think its important they know. Only plus in my experience - they use moroccan oil? more

My Favorite Salon & Stylist Krista Wong~ 1/19/2012

First: The salon is very welcoming from the moment I walk in all the way until I leave...I always receive the same high level of customer service each time I visit. The owner who sits up front is attentive and pays attention to each person who walks through the door. (He even remembers my name!) Stylist: I absolutely adore my girl Krista Wong!!! She has been such a blessing through the years of hair change along with life's obstacles. I've never been disappointed leaving her chair and Krista ALWAYS listens to my needs and dislikes when it comes to my hairstyle. I drive almost an hr each way and even in traffic sometimes to get my fix. Krista Wong is worth every minute and every penny. (Her prices are very reasonable and are never shocking, another plus) My blonde locks have never looked so healthy and pretty, when I decide to go darker, I never leave feeling dull or washed out. Perfect color and cut always! Everyone is so nice and pleasant working there. Always saying ""hello"" and the girls are never gossiping which is a huge plus! If you are looking for a new hairdresser, I encourage you to try Krista, just don't take my appointment! :) Quality work! more

From Gold to Blonde 12/23/2011

After reading reviews on Yelp, I made an appointment with Krista Wong. After being told she only worked part time and didn't accept many new clients, I made an appt. with a different stylist. My gut feeling told me to go with Krista, as she was my first choice, so I called the salon back and waited for an appt. with Krista, rather than going with another stylist. My gut instinct was good. I had seen two other people to go from brunette to blonde, and my hair had turned gold and brassy. It was evident from the start that Krista cared,first and foremost, about maintaining the quality and condition of my hair. She assessed the damage and found the best way to make my hair a better shade of blonde, a shade that would match my skin tone well. I will definitely go back to Krista for all my hair color needs in the future! Thanks so much Krista!!! A more

This salon is awesome. Everyone is super friendly, and they don't make you feel like they are trying to rush you out. Amaris is my stylist. Im a true fan! Only Salon I visit 12/19/2011

I have to say this was my best experience at a hair salon ever! After years of not taking care of my hair, I was in need of a good hair pamper! I had been traveling and not taking care of my hair for months. When I returned home I realized my normal styling habits were not working and my hair was beginning to work against me. Amaris SAVED my long hair by really conditioning it, fixing my very bad dye job from 4 months prior and taking the time to trim all of the horrid dry and split ends while keeping my length! She put a few products in my hair that I actually returned to purchase! As we were chatting she brought me a glass of chardonnay and I may have mentioned my crazy stressful lifestyle. It causes my hair to thin during long weeks/months. She told me about a product that I just had to try out. The redken Intra Force 3 step shampoo conditioner and treatment. So far its been 2 months and I have seen a significant difference! I had my fingers crossed for the first 30 days, but now I can tell you it feels like a whole head of hair. Another amazing product is the moroccanoil. My hair has never felt this soft or stayed this shiny without blow drying and styling. I can wash my hair (with the 3 step treatment) put in a tiny bit of this oil, add a little de-tangler, and my once frizzy curls look shiny, feel soft, and lose all of their annoying frizz. I know I will return to this salon and Amaris regularly from now on! more

Amaris salvaged my ugly hair! 12/19/2011

After my hair had been butchered multiple times by many stylists, I was pretty hesitant to try someone new. Then a friend of mine who had a similar hair situation referred me to Amaris. Besides being upbeat and easy to talk to, she is also very educated in her art. She took the time to educate me on every step we had to take to transform my hair from brassy and broken to beautiful, healthy, and blonde. She even gave me a free deep conditioning treatment on the first visit! I took home the L'Oreal Professional repair line and went to see her every 6 weeks for a highlight and cut. After the third visit my hair was already at my target level of health and color, and I had a fun new cut too! I'm glad I finally found a true hair professional!!! AMARIS IS THE GIRL TO TRUST WITH YOUR HAIR!!! more

Best salon in OC....ask for Krista! 12/3/2011

Spending years looking for a salon that I liked in OC, I can't begin to express how excited I was after my first visit to Jeffrey Michaels' Salon. The friendly staff and warm atmosphere was welcoming from the start. Krista was very patient and attentive and listened to exactly what I wanted done with my hair. Having bleached my own hair for years, she definitely had her work cut out for her! I was amazed at how Krista was able to transform my hair from a brassy, damaged mess to a gorgeous, healthy blonde. \r \r I've now been going to Jeffrey Michaels' Salon for almost 2 years and I am a customer for life! THE BEST LITTLE SALON IN THE WEST! 10/4/2011

My daughter referred me to this salon after she discovered it online and was so happy with the cut and service that she received from Katie. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and it appeared to be a professional salon without ""attitude"". Despite the fact that I was late for this appointment, I never felt rushed or as if I had caused any problems. Katie took time with me and really LISTENED to what I wanted and expected. She discussed my desires with me and told me what she knew she could create at this visit and we talked about future visits as my hair grows and becomes more ""user friendly""! A prior stylist at another salon had thinned out my hair and created a lot of different lengths that Katie needed to carefully cut and shape into something that would eventually grow into a manageable and cute look. Katie doesn't have her ""own agenda"" - instead, she wants to do what the client desires. I was comfortable with her and she gave me a good cut - one that I can style and one that I am very happy with!! Additionally, she used some fantastic products on my hair, making it healthy looking and feeling! I can't say enough GOOD things about Katie and the cut and the salon. Everyone was friendly and welcoming with a professional, friendly demeanor, showing patience and respect while listening to my desires. I've already referred Katie to one friend and I plan to continue to spread the word about this salon and Katie's sweet customer service skills and pleasing personality, as well as her talents! I give this experience a ""thumbs up"" with the highest 5 Star rating and look forward to returning in the near future! Try it - you'll like it!! more

KRISTA WONG IS THE BOMB!!!!!!!! 9/12/2011

Hmm....am I willing to share the best kept secret in Orange County? Gals you understand sharing a hairdresser is like sharing one of your best secrets; if this gets out then will my hairdresser still have time for me? Krista Wong takes my crazy, wild curls--almost a big bush of hair--really ask her yourself and tames my hair to a BEAUTIFUL Hairstyle. This is not some hairstyle that once I wash it will never work at home (trust me I experienced plenty of those in my life) but a hairstyle that WORKS and I can manage at HOME between haircuts. When you are ready to experience a style (and color) that is the best in the industry; ask for KRISTA WONG only and go see what she can accomplish for you! I am BEYOND PICKY when it comes to my hair and who is allowed to touch it; let alone color and style this mess of mine...so if I TRUST KRISTA WONG; I would say you can as well! ENJOY; you will never go back to you old hairdresser again! more

So, I have been going to Carol for my color and cut for a couple of years now and I simply cannot say enough great things about her. Every time she does my hair I absolutely love it and I leave the salon feeling great! She is the perfect stylist; warm, friendly, easy to be around, and extremely talented. I would recommend Carol to anyone, she is simply the best! more

I looked online for a good stylist in OC and stumbled upon this salon. I booked an appt. With Krista Wong and she did a decent job the first couple of times I went to her. However, I was uncomfortable with her stories about her personal life. It's great to chat with your stylist don't get me wrong! Didn't feel it was appropriate to tell your clients such personal stories...proceeding to get upset retelling the story while cutting hair!!! (dont want to share details of what was said, since its that personal!) Needless to say, I never went back. Is\r Krista a good stylist?....she's decent but IMO immature! more

Katie is the best 3/25/2011

My hair was a mess...waited too long to get it cut and weaved... it needed to be tamed... I've moved to OC from LA where I had my hair cut and colored by Hollywood/KNBC hairstylists for years. Cutting edge...so I thought. Showed Katie a picture of what I wanted. \r PERFECT.... Everything was better than I could expect. She is a great hair cutter... My cut is businesslike.. with a slight edge that she makes happen. Color is fantastic and highlights are prefect. No one in Hollywood could match this... \r more

My new favorite... 2/4/2011

I have been to many salons on the East and West coast and I have to say that Andrew Sun is a phenomenal hair stylist. He really knows his craft and took the time to find out what I wanted and explained how to style my hair as he was working with it. He is truly an artist. He used some awesome products on my hair and I have to say that the Moroccan oil is the best! What a great group of people and what a great salon. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone. more

They Care About Their Client's Experience 2/1/2011

Dave and Jeff the owners make sure the clients who visit their salon are well taken care of. They take pride in their positive reputation and will do their best to make sure everyone who walks through the door leaves as happy as possible. Salons and businesses in general with this level of customer service are hard to come by. I would definitely see Jeff again since he helped repair a haircut gone wrong. He is highly skilled, laid back, personable and takes the time to really listen to what the client wants. more
