This is all from memory of my time stuck in Mt. Laurel in 2004 but Jays is hands down the best place to go to late night for a steak and cheese sub and a couple pitchers for last call. It is packed with all sorts of people who are just looking for a good time. Once and a while there was a fight, but never anything crazy. It is a shiphole but it is probably the best dive i have ever been to and in Boston we have a lot of them. I would go back in a second to Jay's if ever stationed in NJ again. Scoring Big @ Jay's with Tony T-Money and the Crew: This rocking place kept T-Money and the Wrecking Crew kicking it like Tai-Bo all night long. T was kind enuff to leave his credit card and pick up the tab for all the sweet honeys! We thought we lost him in the cleavage of Miss California but he survived, yelled ""cut me Mick!"" and went in for the TKO! Gino was ready to front the bail money, but T-Money was all good. Fortunately you can buy enough beer to please a posse at Jay's without making a dent in the company pocketbook. Sully found the wings and the beer slide in and out just as easily - and the chicks too! Sweet lady LuLu kept it real while Bookie and his soon to be life-time sweetie Carny chugged some cheap ones. Great wings. I have never in my life been to such a beautiful establishment. Every patron has captured a terorist. Every patron has donated money to the ""Make a Wish Foundation"". Every employee has helped an old woman carry her groceries to their car. There has been a lot of important people to pass through Jays. Martin Luther King delivered a child in 1955. The 1993 Phillies still frequent Jays. Pete Incavilla beat up a man trying to walk out on his tab (clearly not from the area). Cheesecake was invented at Jays. Lionel Ritchie wrote ""Dancin' on the Ceiling"" at seat 4. Bottom line: Jays is where you want to be....for anything...sports, concerts, discovery, and profound memories. I love you Jays Elbow Room. As a temporary transplant from South Florida I nneded a good hang out other than the typical chain bar or Hotel Bar. I had to stop in when I saw Jays Elbow Room. It looked like my kind of joint not to mention I frequent ""The Elbo Room"" on the Beach in Ft. Lauderdale. Pros: Gret place to hang with locals, great service and great wings! If you don't mind alittle dirt on the floor or having to push though 100 people to get around, Jay's is the best cheap bar in the area. You might wait alittle to get your beer or food but it will cost you almost nothing and is better than some more expensive bars in town. Check Jay's out on Saturday night about 1:30-2:00 AM if you want the whole experience. more
