I went to Jay Sondhi after reading an interview with him in the Sunday Chronicle. This was just after the financial collapse, so it was a very difficult time in the market. Even with outstanding credit numbers, refinancing or getting new loans was not easy. I was not having luck with my original lender, but Jay was able to help me right away.
I emailed Jay to set up a meeting at his office, and I liked how quickly he got to work for me. I had a lot of equity built up in my home, and he didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need, or make my loan any bigger. He simply listened to what I wanted and made it happen, despite the tough times. Everything was moving slowly at that point, but Jay was right on top of it. In the end, he was able to help me get a good rate on a government loan, and to explain how it worked, because it was different from anything I had used before.
Jay was always available on the phone to answer my questions and to ensure that I understood all the paperwork accompanying my new loan. Throughout the process he maintained a great, can-do attitude. I could tell from the beginning that he was motivated, and wanted to make things happen for me. I was impressed by his manners, as well. He was thoughtful, considerate and really a gentleman, which means a lot these days. I have good instincts about people, and my impression of Jay was that he is truly authentic.
