Java's has, for about 10 years now, been my favorite coffeeshop, and I moved to New York City last year. There is nothing here that comes close. From the amazing pieces of art covering the walls, to the high quality of the coffee imported by Java Joe himself (although he's no longer the owner), to 19th century american furniture you'll find here and there, Java's is the everything you could want out of a coffeeshop. Get a cup of coffee and read a book all afternoon listening to Eastmen jazz or eclectic rock, or return in the evening for live music or open mic. My only complaint is that they still don't have WiFi. Come on, get with the 21st century.
