Yay, Finally someone gets it :) This is how a Salon should be. I have to say I went here today for the first time and loved it! From the moment i walked in the door,everyone was so friendly. I was offerred Coffee ,Tea or a Latte from their coffe bar while I waited,(mmm Vanilla Latte= Heaven) The ambiance is gorgeous, very trendy and relaxing,everything you would want in a Salon/Spa atmosphere,which is so important to me The staff was friendly and genuine, my stylist was very sweet and great. I left feeling like a million dollars. I loved my cut and color she did a fantastic job. Extra bonus,they have a little boutique attached,where i picked up the cutest pair of jeans...The right hairstyle along with finding the right outfit for this weekend,i struck gold I will definetly be returning and recommend this salon for those looking for the full treatment more

I have been to several salons or spas in the Boston area and I have to say that Jathar is the best. Finally, I am treated the way one deserves to be treated at a spa. Between the customer service and the AMAZING and talented stylists, you will leave in a much better mood than when you walked in. By the way, Erica...your hot stone massage is GREAT! Thank you all for my new favorite place to be. more

I visit Jathar Salon and Spa as OFTEN as possible. The staff is completly knowlegeable and professional - I would NEVER visit another salon after my experiences. With all the compliments I receive from the public - you can't go wrong here - you'll leave in tip top shape! The manager Kristin made me feel more than welcome and I dont know how anyone could dislike her, she went above and beyond to make sure I got everything I needed. Any questions I had - she was 100% dedicated and interested in discussing them with me. The salon itself has a very comfortable feel and was very pleasing to the eye and easy to get to. There is an abundance of treats and several drink choices available at the coffee station in the waiting area. I have also enjoyed the pleasure of getting eyelash extensions and let me tell you I dont know how I would do without them. The process was also very relaxing and the results were unbelievable ! I feel sorry for anyone who even has a negative thought about this place - maybe you just weren't ready for all the attention : ) more

I had one mediocre and one horrible experience here. I went in for a simple cut and blow dry. The stylist cut my hair way too short. I called back the next day and asked what they can do to fix it. They said to come in and I asked if they could at least blow dry it straight since I had an upcoming event and a straight blow dry would at the least make it look a little longer. They charged me for the blow dry and said that it was my fault and I asked for my hair to be that short. After a 20 minute argument with Kristen the manager, she voided the charge on my card. She was extremely rude and basically accused me of lying. I would never go back to this place. more

I visited Jathar salon and spa for the first time, a couple of weeks ago. I had a spa facial booked with Merideth. Afterwards, I was told that all spa services come with a complimentary blow dry. I was referred to Erin. Wow!!! she did the most amazing job. She pays attention to every detail. Needless to say, Erin is now my new hair stylist. I definitely recommend her to anyone... I have been getting hair extensions for years. Until I found Kristin at Jathar, I never knew what it was like to actually LOVE having hair extensions! I tried 3 other stylists, before her and I will never go anywhere else. THE BEST!!! My hair has never looked more beautiful:) Pros: Best hair extensions on the east coast more

From the minute you walk in the door, you are greeted by a smiling face! She actually took my coat and escorted me to the waiting area and offered to make my espresso. They have a 15 drink coffee bar! My stylist came out to greet me, everyone that walks by you smiles. You are instantly comfortable. I am always intimidated by salons and all the "beautiful people" in them. She listened to me, did more than what I asked for and actually gave me a lesson on how to do it. That was a first! Then she offered me a discount card for next time for other services I had never had done in there. When I asked if I could just use it that day, she asked her manager to make sure. The manager actually came over to me and insured me that not only could I use it, I would be so happy with the results. She also told me she was happy I was getting a discount! Who is happy you are getting a discount!? That is real service. I will go there faithfully and recommend everone I know. I drive a half hour to get to Jathar, and it is totally worth it! They do a great job with my hair and it is a beautiful space. It is a very upscale place (both in decor and in the way they treat you), but the prices are very competitive. I love it there! Pros: talented staff! more

I make the 40 minute drive every 3-4 weeks, sometimes more to get everything I need. Being at Jathar is like being treated like a celebrity. Its a one stop shop! The atmosphere is calming, the staff treat you like family. I have never had a bad expierience and people are always asking me where i go!! I tell them Jathar and no one has ever turned back. more

I make the drive from Danvers every two weeks to see my most favorite group of hairstylists. These ladies I provide so much comfort and inspiration while applying their techiniques in providing the best results every time I visit. The atomesphere in this salon is very professional and relaxing all in the same moment. If you have any questions or concerns pertaining to beauty, hair, etc, they always provide the most educated answers and they truely do care! You would be missing out if you didnt get there today! I get my haircut here and it is great. Kristin cuts my hair and she is amazing. She really listens and always cuts my hair the way I want it. Also, it is a very beautiful and peaceful salon, very open and airy and its a pleasure to be in the space. Pros: beautiful, great services! more
