yummy! 12/1/2011

I was on a quick business trip and this restaurant caught my eye. I was in the mood for some authentic Asian faire and was impressed from the moment I entered. The service from beginning to end was just perfect. My tea cup never saw the bottom and my water glass was always full. I ordered the Walnut Prawns just because I read the good reviews. YUMM-O I also took a chance and allowed the very gracious owner to order me a meat dish and noodles and I was not disappointed at all. (I wish they delivered to the SF Bay Area. They would be a hit out here, too) When you are travelling, you get to sample different tastes from different parts of the country. In this case, I was not settling for another Asian meal, but on the contrary I found to my delight one the gems of the Rockies. I can only rate with 5 stars but my pallette is beyond satisfied. I take my hat off to the chef and to the wait staff. I can't wait to make it back here! more

BEST PHO EVER!!! 11/18/2011

Absolutely PHOBULOUS This was my first time trying Vietnamese food and I have to say I love, love, love Jasmine and the chef, Karen, is amazing!! She is so talented and truly enjoys sharing her love for her culture and her food. The Beef Pho is such a comfort food and especially great on a cool night. The Shrimp Thai Salad I'm still salivating over....absolutely delicious! The garlic eggplant is her mom's recipe and for someone who doesn't even like eggplant I have to say it was amazingly delicious. The Crispy sole was my favorite and the creamy sauce that is drizzled on top! The lunch specials are great and inexpensive too! It's also a great spot for a date night too....my boyfriend and I will definitely be going back to Karen's place very soon!! more

Gross 9/2/2011

My husband and I finally decided to try this place for lunch and were extremely disappointed. Although the woman who waited on us was nice, she was slow to refill the drinks and didn't even fill them up all the way. The portions were the smallest we had ever seen for lunch and the presentation was lacking. My husband ordered the orange chicken which was lacking in sauce and flavor, overly breaded, and may have not even have been chicken! I ordered the chicken teriyaki which was better than his but the sauce was super thick, overly garlicy, and the veggies were wilted. The egg rolls were way over cooked and had pork. The hot and sour soup was ok, not great or good but ok. Although the food was probably the worst Asian food we have had, the atmosphere was, even though we were the only ones in the establishment, nice. I liked the plants and the music but that was it. more

the best 12/5/2010

It has been a long time since I've eaten here, so my husband and I decided to eat here tonight. Once again, the food did not disappoint. We have come enough times to know that we always have to order the salmon tartare and the char siu marinated alaskan black cod. Both dishes never fail us. I personally also like the basil eggplant and we ordered the chicken karaage for the first time. The batter on the chicken was nice and light and it came with a dipping sauce that was good, but on the spicy side. I still do think that the price to portion ratio is fantastic, but food has always been consistently delicious. On this particular night, our server was fabulous. He was really attentive, polite and cordial. more

great organic and unique creative healthy delicious menu selection 11/18/2008

I have to say this is the best restaurant in town. I have been coming here for over 12 years. The food is absolutely the best with the best brown nutty rice in town. I was in for dinner last night and found out that the owner, Karen is in Kong Hong for the week to create the holiday menu. I was taken care of by the manager, a young man - named Lee. He was so gracious and offered the same wonderful service that is often associated with this restaurant. The variety of organic tea selection is overwhelming to say the least. We had the Plum Berries tea and it was delicious. I can tell the place is gearing up for the holiday so make your reservation soon. I hope Karen is having a good time in Hong Kong - She deserves it. I can't wait for her holiday menu. One more thing - the organic produce used in preparation of the entrees makes my body scream "" thank you."" Pros: organic, healthy, fast delivery service, catering, tea selection Cons: do not accept checks more

The best place to be during the holiday 11/14/2008

We love this place during the holiday season. Last year we were here with a group of 21 and had the most amazing choice of food and service. The decor was amazing with fresh holiday flowers and spectacular lights and decoration. I expect the same this year. I am going to book early because I would hate to miss out or be or a wait list since this place is so popular with catering and holiday parties. The holiday menu is to die for - so creative and most of all - delicious and healthy. Pros: Holiday Specials, Great Service, Beautiful Holiday Decor Cons: Too Many Parties Reserved more

excellent 9/12/2008

delicious and healthy is what makes this place so special. I like the curried specials. The bonfire prawns is to die for! Pros: family feel more

Ok Chinese Take out 3/2/2008

Quaint little Chinese restaurant ran by mom and pop. They are very friendly and care about your opinion. Walking in to this place felt like walking into grandma's, especially with the oldies tunes in the background. My lunch order took all of three minutes to be ready. Chicken and Broccoli with Brown rice.\r \r Brown rice appeared to be multigrain, fluffy and unsticky like so many other rices you get from the typical Chinese joint down the street. The egg roll was crisp, flaky, and didn't taste of grease..yet it was very minuscule on filling. Broccoli florets were not bite size, the dish had a nice flavor but was it soaking in butter or oil? The Chickie was in large unchewy pieces. If I can get them to go light on the glop, I'll return.. Pros: cheap, friendly, brown rice available Cons: added fats more

Greasy !!!!!!! 2/8/2008

This was the greasiest Chinese food I've ever eaten! My friend got the General Tsao's chicken and it was soggy and greasy. Her plate was mostly rice too! I got the Pad Thai noodles and they were soaked in oil - not authentic or tasty at all! The crab wontons were burnt too! The only thing that was decent was the egg drop soup. Would not order for there again! more

Fantastic Asian Food and Atmos[here 9/27/2007

Small intimate dining with family atmosphere. Extensive menu or just ask for your favorite and they will cook it up for you. No favorite, just tell Karen to fix for you ""Special"" and she will please you with a suprise. Prices are very reasonable and I'll be suprised if you don't take home plenty. Restauant has local art on the walls. Then stroll through the Botique and Art Gallery next door. I think the gallery is ""Art Nic"" and it's all local artists too!\r Pros: Always plenty of parking just steps away from the door Cons: You didn't know about it earlier more

Best Asian Food in Denver area! 9/1/2007

The food here is fantastic, and we've been here several times and have never been disappointed. The staff is so friendly, and we love the food. They have the best mu shu pork around! Their food is always fresh, and you get huge portions for the price. I can't say enough great things about this restaurant. Pros: Food, price, staff... Our whole family absolutely loves this food. We've traveled quite a bit to Asia, and this is very comprable! more

Asian Cusine with a Heart of Gold 8/19/2007

I have sampled Asian Cuisine from all over the world. Not since the Chinese Embassy in Japan, have I ever been so pleased with the results of real Asian Home Cooking. The menu overflows with wonderful dishes from all over the Orient. \r One member of my family is hyper sensitive to MSG and that is something you WON'T find here. \r In March of this year I was fortunate to survive brain surgery and every time (without fail) I am asked how I am doing with a real sense of concern. \r The Vietnamese Rice Vermicelli Bowl and the Spring Mint Rolls are fantastic and the Szechuan Chicken can't be beat. Among other things, Karen whips up a mean Meringue. Everything we have sampled on the menue has been Five Star and then, there is the staff; Five Star with a Heart of Gold. \r I rarely recommend a place to eat but the genuine Family care we have received and the plethora of delectable tastes make Jasmine's tops on my list.\r Don't miss one of the best kept secrets in the Denver area! Pros: Healthy, Natural and Home cooked. Cons: A wee bit small but I think ""Bigger"" could loose some of the high Quality and Family feel. more

Best Cook In Town 8/17/2007

You can truly order with your eyes closed and get the suprise of your Asian Dining life, but you should keep your eyes open and enjoy the dining experience and the local art hanging on the walls. Start with the great soups, egg rolls or try spring rolls. Then order off the extensive menu or try one of the standards. You won't be disappointed. Casual dining with friendly family atmosphere. I liked the shrimp, chicken, fried rice, o heck, I love it all. Pros: Friendly, small, locals love it, no rushes, take your time. Plenty of parking Cons: Sorry, for this type of restaurant, I can't think of any. more

Best little Asian bistro in the metro area 8/17/2007

Did I forget, the food is quick unique and deliciiiiiiiiousss! Pros: home cooked style asian cuisine with unique healthy dishes Cons: small bistro more
