Editorial review from Citysearch 3/5/2014

So, I pretty much love EVERYTHING about Jasmine 26, but the main reason I'm posting this review is because it is NOT closed -- at least not as of March 2014. I don't know why it's listed as such here. Jasmine Orchid on the U of M campus is closed, but Jasmine 26 is still open -- I just called them to confirm. more

Great Experience! 11/3/2008

We had a birthday dinner with 6 of us at Jasmine 26 this weekend. Everything was fantastic. The service was ideal and the food was delicious. The waiter and chef even helped us find gluten free options which turned out to be a good portion of the menu! The fish sauce was wheat free as were the rice noodles and spring roll wraps. The fried rice was made without soy sauce so even that was ok! The jasmine crepe was so good and filling and the lemongrass ribs were outstanding. I have been craving the basil noodles so I will have to go back soon.\r It was a perfect dinner for a group that included a vegetarian and someone gluten intolerant. more

Magical flavor combinations. Inventive dishes. 8/10/2008

I just love places that offer unique combinations of flavors and textures, and am totally into the freshness of the herbs and veggies. I keep coming back to Jasmine 26. Admittedly, I love Vietnamese food. This place has helped me extend what I know about Vietnamese food into a whole other dimension. The lemongrass spare ribs are fantastic, and I'm crazy about the coconut/turmeric crepe chock full of bean sprouts and other goodies. The salty plum 'margarita' and house-made lemongrass-infused vodka rock! My partner raves about the bubble drinks. Oh, geez, now I'm getting that got-to-get-to Jasmine 26 feeling .. again! more

Jasmine 26 is exceptional 6/22/2008

Great food, great bar, and great prices! You can tell that the owners have put alot of work into making this a success, and you can tell this every time you visit by the fact that they are always working the bar and tables. They do everything they can to make your evening a good one. The food is wonderful. We love the salt and pepper tofu appetizer. The ginger sauce with the calamari was outstanding...and the calamari was good too. Also a favorite is the coconut cream cheese wontons - love the coconut! As far as the rest of the menu - every noodle salad has been wonderful - light, flavorful - great summer fare. The soups are just as good. The entrees - the ribs are tasty, the crepes are great in either the meat or veg version, and the hot pots are a fun change from the usual restaurant fare and very good. Pros: Great value - always leave there feeling like a good experience was had by all Cons: Parking - only a few lots space, otherwise street parking. No menu posted online. more
