As an avid antique collector of fine French and Continental 19th Century Art and Antiques, I have traveled around the world searching for the right pieces to add to my private collection. Five years ago, Marty, a good friend of mine, asked me if I have ever been to Jan's Antiques in South Los Angeles and I laughed. An antique store in South L.A.? I asked. Are you kidding me? I have been to Paris, London, Rome and Zurich where I was able to acquire museum quality pieces by Linke, Sormani, Zwiener, Dasson and Beaurdeley, and there is no way I could find that kind of fine pieces in Los Angeles, let alone in South L.A., I continued. Marty insisted and two weeks later, he and I drove to Jan's together. \r

To tell you the truth, I was speechless. When I walked in their very large showroom (I think is 30000 sq.ft) I saw pieces that I have never even seen in all my travels. Jan's inventory is just spectacular! Anyone looking for that special fine quality antique piece of art, sculpture or palatial furniture must pay them a visit. Jan's also has a great website, jansantiques com\r
