I recently tried Jan Mei for the first time and I was very impressed with the service and with the food. I had the honey garlic chicken and it was the best I have ever had at other Chinese food places! The lady taking the orders was very sweet. Jan Mei is my new neighborhood chinese food spot! I will order again today. You should know they have a $12 order minimum to use credit and debit cards. more

Wow! Great food & huge quantities at very reasonable prices. The shrimp fried rice was loaded with shrimp, hot & sour soup crammed with meat and other ingredients. The woman who runs the place is a real cut-up and fun to talk to. I wish we had a place like this In Pittsburgh. Super place! more

The Cashew Chicken didn't have much cashews in it, but it had a good taste. The rice wasn't out of this world, the pork pieces in it had a lot of fat and the rice was cold.\r \r I did not like the egg rolls at all.\r \r I probably won't order from here again.....i wasn't impressed. more

We've been coming to pick up our take-outs at Jan Mei for years now. This establishment is the best in this city. They've always remembered my face and always ask after my family--yes, they do remember. They remember my favorite dishes and I've never been disappointed at either the food nor the pleasant & courteous service. My family loves the food & the people. I highly recommend it for truly delicious chinese food. more

Great food, very generous portions for the price. Family owned type of place, the lady who runs the front is very very sweet. Take out or delivery only, closed on Mondays. A local favorite! more
