Jamie's Seams To Fit Llc

I found out at the last minute that I had a job interview coming up and I was a bit nervous about getting my suit tailored in time. I called Jamie on Sunday and left a message asking if she would be able to take care of my alterations by Friday at the very latest. She called me back early Monday to let me know that she could have everything squared away in time.\r \r That afternoon, I stopped by the shop (bonus: she doesn't require appointments) and she had my jacket and pants pinned in just a few minutes. I was in and out in no more than 15 minutes which was great because it was a busy day for me. \r \r She called me on Thursday to let me know that everything was done. I am happy to report that not only was everything done a day early, but she had done a great job of taking care of exactly the things I needed. The fit of my suit is great and Jamie was kind enough to wish me luck several times.\r \r I was a little concerned given the mixed reviews on here, but my experience was great. I can definitely recommend Jamie's Seams to Fit. more

I took a coat in to have a tear fixed and she told me it would take two weeks at most. I called when the two weeks were up and she said it would be another week. I then called when that week was up and was told yet another week. I always had to call her to see what was going on with my coat. I had to pay full price for something that took twice as long as it should have. Her reasoning was that the university gave her a large order AFTER mine so it pushed my coat back. Apparently first come first serve doesn't apply here. Also I asked her if she frequently doesn't make deadlines and she said YES. My question is why doesn't she give a longer estimate in the first place? Don't count on her to get something done on time. However the work she did on the coat was an OK job. I am a procrastinator so when I took my dress in to be altered 2 weeks before my scheduled event, I did expect a little hesitation. The customer service I received felt like I was a bother rather than a customer. I was never measured and this resulted in my having to visit the store 3 times for adjustments. When I questioned the additional charges from the original quote I got a rather snobbish reply. Hey, you can't blame a person for wanting to know exactley what they are paying for. I got my dress in time but it was a rather inconvienent experience and I just felt like the customer service should have been better. more

Excellent work & prompt service. She makes gorgeous pillows out of old bridesmaid dresses, perfect for anniversary gifts, etc. Highly recommended!! more
