Love the staff! I have been very pleased with the care for my animals by James City Veterinary Clinic. I wouldn't think to take my animals anywhere else!

Satisfactory Service, but not Stellar 7/7/2006

I used this vet for the first 18 months of my doggie's life. The staff was definitely friendly and the waiting time to see the vet wasn't too bad (about 15-20 mins). I wasn't terribly pleased with the level of care my dog received (she was spayed at the facility and has experienced problems ever since; a potentially serious condition was not diagnosed). However, the vet was very patient with my questions and really took the time to make sure I understood what was best for my dog. He was very nice to her as well and knew how to handle animals quite well. He didn't push me into having unnecessary tests either. The prices were reasonable, though not great. Overall I chose to see another vet mostly because I didn't trust that his diagnoses were accurate (though, this might have been an isolated incident). PROS: Friendly Staff, Somewhat Reasonable Prices CONS: Potentially incompetent Vet, Small Facilities more

Clean, Friendly, and Very caring 2/27/2006

I took my 2 childhood dogs to the James City Vet Clinic for about 20 years. They were with us from the time they were puppies until they had to be put down.\r \r I was always so impressed with how caring they were - even at the worst times. Both of my dogs had their final moments in the office and the staff was so supportive during that time. We went through some difficult tests, some bizarre mystery illnesses, and some great healthy puppy times too!\r \r Overall they were just so caring. Even near the end when we opted out of the some of the more expensive tests and treaments they always supported our decisions.\r \r Both dogs were boarded there and always came out happy and healthy - so I would recommend them for that as well! PROS: Helpful, Friendly, and Supportive CONS: None! more
