Mark was my stylists, so when he opened Jade Aveda Salon I followed him there because I was so pleased with his service. The customer service at Jade Aveda Salon is outstanding. They are personable, and the receptionists are always great. I am offered tea or water when I come in.
I am very happy with the service. I get my cuts and colors there, and I am always pleased with that. The only reason I gave a 4 on total experience is because it is difficult to get an appointment with Mark. Mark is very good and consequently very busy. I have to schedule appointments way in advance. That in a way is positive; it speaks a lot for Mark and the salon.
One of my favorite things is that they don't have a pushy sales attitude. The front half of the salon is retail. I don't use Aveda, so I don't really use Jade's products. Most places are pushy in terms of their retail products. Mark will use different products in my style, and will ask if I need products. If I say yes he is helpful, and if I say no it is not a big deal. I love that they are not pushy as if they are on commission.
On Jade Aveda Salon's website it talks a lot about their team. It uses the word "team" a lot, and I like the feeling that it is not a cut-throat salon in terms of having one stylist against another or a strict hierarchy. The client-stylist relationship is very good, as is the rapport between stylists. There is a pleasant, calming atmosphere. I am a big fan of Jade.
