All of my family members take their 5/7/2012

All of my family members take their cars to Jacob's and have been doing so for years, (10+). He has worked on our Ford's, Chevy's, and BMW's. The staff are very friendly and professional. They are very straight-forward about pricing and needed repairs. I would highly recommend their services. more

11 Years with Jacob's Service 12/13/2011

I've been going to Jacob's for ALL of my car service and repair for 11 years, after they were recommended by a friend. They are good, honest and true to their word. You won't be paying for unnecessary repairs. They will give you an estimate for all work and will not exceed the number; usually comes in less. more

Great people to work with 7/22/2011

Honest, Reliable, Friendly, Kind. Great people, I would drive across town to do business with Jacob. more

Honest, reliable service - a great find. 12/19/2008

I went first time on recommendation of a co-worker about 2 years ago. Very honest and fair group to deal with. They fix it first time and at what I think is a fair price. \r \r I take all my vehicles there for everything from oil changes to tire purchases, to fuel injector issues, and have been very happy with all work for 2 years now. Glad they're there. \r Pros: Great group, fair competent, reliable Cons: Their good work keeps them busy - might have to wait a day or 2. more

Honest, speedy, great service 6/11/2008

I have been screwed by too many other auto mechanics in Denver and was giving up all hope. I decided to check out the reviews on here and found Jacob's and decided to try it. This place is awesome. Got me in quick and did an excellent job. Other places were charging me $150 for a diagnostic, and then it didn't go towards my repairs, but jacobs was only $90 and it all went towards my repairs. I had to have my 02 sensors replaced and the previous place had quoted me at $600 to fix, Jacobs only charged me $330. This is just a really great shop and i highly recommend it to everyone. Pros: Honest, Great Deal, Experts, Timely, Very nice more

Old-Fashioned Mom & Pop Shop Fairness and Honesty! 3/25/2008

I had a bad attitude toward mechanics by the time I got to Jacob's. I had the good fortune to find it in my neighborhood when I Iived nearby. I took my car in for several issues (I thought). I gave them the run-down of symptoms and told them I was sure that my list of possible problems were present. What a surprise when I got a call from them that only one little thing was wrong. They knew that they could tell me everything on my list needed done, but only reported the one thing--which cost a mere $75! This is the only time that I got out of a shop this cheaply! The other thing is that a previous mechanic told me that my serpentine belt would have to be replaced yearly or so because of another source of fraying. Either that or replace a bigger, more expensive part. I must have had to replace their serpentine belt three times in two years at that shop. Jacob's found no other ""source"" for the repeated fraying of these belts. And I have had the belt from Jacob's for two years with no problems, leading me to believe that the other mechanic was up to something...So, amazing service--very friendly people--very high quality--great value/prices--and (most hard-to-find) the most and maybe the only HONEST mechanics I have known in my 40 years on this planet. Pros: Value, Quality, Honesty! Evening hours. Cons: No weekend hours, but they do have evening hours. more

Fabulous customer service/mechanics 3/4/2008

I agree with the other reviewers--Jacob's is really honest and wonderful. I took my car to get the oil changed somewhere else, and they told me I had all sorts of leaks in my car, which is weird b/c there were no service lights on. I took it to Jacob's, and they said that nothing was wrong with it (that was a year ago, and I haven't had any trouble at all, so I guess Jacob's was right). My husband and I both take our cars there now, even for oil changes. Their prices are great, and the guy with the beard at the counter is really nice. Pros: Honest, amazing mechanics and customer service Cons: They request appointments only, but this is really good so you don't wait forever for your car. more

Honest Mechanic!! 2/18/2008

I had my car diagnosed at a different mechanic than Jacob's and was told it would cost $1400 minimum to repair. I decided to use city search to see if there may be a better mechanic out there and stumbled across Jacob's Auto Service and they said first we will check to make sure that is the right diagnosis, but if it is, the=n they told me it would be $1100. I called around town and find the best deal and couldn't find any lower estimate. \r \r So I took my vehicle in and received honest feedback that the diagnosis was correct and the price charged was the $1100 estimate. Great deal compared to other places! \r \r Also, my tires hadn't been replaced for awhile so I asked them their opinion on if they needed replacement. They said the tires looked fine to them. How often does a mechanic do that? \r \r These guys seemed very honest and I walked out NOT feeling like I was being taken. Also, these guys are really nice and are good at getting back to you when they say they will. \r \r All around, couldn't have asked for a better mechanic!\r \r \r Pros: HONEST, Friendly employees more

Honesty is indeed the Best Policy 11/28/2007

It's not very easy finding a trustworthy mechanic and/or auto service center, this coupled with a random selection made my visit to Jacob's Service Center very nervous....but, this was quickly erased after I got my diagnostics back within a couple hours. The guys were honest, professional and conversational. The verdict: vehicle is in great shape. Here's the deal....no need to replac anything if it's not broken, let's keep an eye out for a,b,c etc. That's honesty folks! I paid my diagnostics fee and I tell you what I think I found me an auto service center I can count on. So, if you are looking for a professional, honest service, be sure to stop off at Jacob's Service Center. Great job, guys! Pros: decent waiting area, professional courtesy/service/know-how, good explanation Cons: plan ahead, could take at least 4 hours for engine check more

Great customer service, accurate estimate, honest work 9/21/2006

I called Jacob's Service Center and recieved a fair estimate for a clutch replacement job. After dropping off our vehicle, we were informed that it was going to cost over $200 more than the estimate, but they found the part in the kit that was ordered for the clutch replacement that was going to make the replacement cost more, so they were honest and told us, so, we only had to pay the amount of the original estimate. We just moved here from another state, so it was wonderful to find an honest, accurate, and hard working mechanic right away (thanks to this website!). We will definately take our vehicles back to Jacob's in the future! Pros: Work was done the same day, Honest Cons: Didn't open until 8 a.m., closed at 6 p.m. -hard to get the car dropped off and picked up when you work! more

Denver's best auto maintenance 2/2/2006

These guys are the best at what they do and I don't trust my cars to anyone else. When it is time to use a mechanic, Jacob's is the only one I go to.\r \r What they fix stays fixed and they are reasonably priced. I will go out of my way to go there to get my cars fixed. Pros: Experienced mechanics, Very reasonable price, Excellent quality Cons: No Saturday hours more
