Their food is very good, reasonable priced and friendly staff. A great lunch stop.

Worst

Despite what many others may say, this place does not live up to the hype. Try the McDonald's across the street.

While this gentleman, Dave worked so hard to leave his legacy it merely took an employee less than one minute to ruin our lunch experience. In our area we have so many options but I just love to give that opportunity to the 'mom & pop' establishments. The burger and fry were okay, nothing to spread the word of. Unfortunately, my experience with a dark hair young lady with a huge tattoo on her right leg was so awful that I am communicating on social media to warn others not to bother. Our money and time are too precious!\r \r Dear management- it only takes one terrible attitude to lose a customer! Date of visit: 7/4/2012 around 2:30. more

Jack's is on my list every time I come to Ft. Lauderdale to visit my folks, which is about 1-2x year unfortunately. I remember when they only served hamburgers. I have been going there since I was in elementary school and I am now 43. There is no hamburger quite like it, and they are routinely consistent every visit. The only place where I put ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise and onions on my french fries. I don't know why, but I can, so why not? Like Laspada's I must have my Jack's when I come to town. Wish they would come to the ATL.....Thanks for the memories! more

This place is great! If you like a real burger this is the place to go. They use quality meat in their burgers and they are big and tasty and you can get lettuce and tomato and so forth. Burgers are great! The price is reasonable and the place is friendly and fun!! They have that old fashioned theme and its very delightful. I have been to both locations they both are great places to get a real burger. more

There's a lot of good reviews here, and some not so good about the fries. I'm a burger lover - and this place, as plain as it is, doesn't disappoint. OMG, I love the food and crave it all the time. The burgers are SO fresh, the fries always hot and good, and if anything's not right, the cute girls will fix it right then. How can anybody find something wrong with that! If it ain't right, they'll do their best to get it that way. Great shakes, floats and cokes. By the way, the use that GREAT flaked ice, the thin, crunchy kind of ice that males everything good. I recommend trying it a couple of times, you can get a big burger, fries and a coke for less than ten bucks, and they have fresh ketchup, mustard and other condiments out for you, including their 'dill mustard'. If you're craving a fresh, real burger, stay away from the big chains and try Jack's. more

One evening over an amazingly good cheeseburger; My eight-year-old daughter asked, "Daddy, if I work here, do you think they will give me free hamburgers?" We love the burgers, the fries are OK (well done) and it feels like a real burger joint. Love it. more

Old style Florida business here. From the decor to the way you order and pick up your food it's a blast from the past in a very good way. \r \r My son had the 1/2 pound burger with extra cheese and bacon. I had the 1/2 pound burger with extra cheese. My daughter had the 1/3 burger plain. We all had fries and the kids had chocolate shakes. I had a root-beer. \r \r Number 89 was called and I felt like I hit the hamburger lotto when I went up to pick up our winning food. $hit folks....this was real damn good. My son summed it up by saying that this was the best juicy burger he had ever had. My daughter agreed and my belly did too. \r \r Both kids loved the shakes and the ice in my root-beer makes this soda great. It's that crunchy little ice that double as a snow-cone, you all know what I'm talking about. It's not strange to review ice in a drink,..... is it? LOL. \r \r Awesome Establishment. Tell Jack I love him and that Dan sent you. Stay Hungry! more

Great burgers 8/19/2010

I grew up on the street behind Jack's and visited them shortly after they opened up their first location in the early 70's. Without a doubt, it is one of the best hamburgers (when topped with their mustard sauce) I have ever had, hands down. It is the standard of what a hamburger should live up to. I now live in Texas and begin to salivate every time I think about their burgers! Please open up a DFW location!!!!! more

Jack's has great burgers and shakes. I would definitely recommend putting cheese on the burger and fries. Also try mixing the bbq sauce with some mayo. Great for dipping fries! more

In the words of my now-departed dad: "Wow! You know the burgers must be good if the place is packed all the time and they don't even serve BEER!" Great range of burger sizes if you don't want leftovers. Soft drinks only...so takeout is an option. more

Damn that was delicious!!!! That burger gives Fuddruckers & 5 Guys a run for it's money!! Definitly made my top 5 burgers ever!! 1/2 chesseburger for only $5.65. Thank goodness it's not in Dade County. But the next time I'm in Oakland..... U know where to find me. Thanks Urbanspoon! Wouldn't of found this place without you. more
