Jack's Stores try to pretend to be local stores, but are just another chain store. Their staff is about par for the type of store -- I had one employee tell me that Mandarin Dragonets cannot take copper medication because they are INVERTEBRATES. At a different Jack's, I had two staff members arguing with me about whether or not another customer could add TWO yellow tangs and an auriga butterfly to a 12-gallon nano which already had a large damsel, and corals (which the butterfly would have eaten). Thankfully, the other customer realized who was giving better advise and didn't buy anything. Aquariums are always ugly, algae covered. Poor selection, and fish are in poor health. Whatever happened to the quality independent retailers? more

Jack's Aquarium 8/18/2005

This store has a lot of fish and aquarium products, but also other pet items. They have puppies, kittens, bunnies, and rodents (hamsters, guinea pigs, mice) and products for them. I have purchased from them many times, and almost always have had very good luck. If you buy a fish and it dies within a week, they will replace it free of charge. They have great specials and a good staff. Sometimes when the store is crowded, it takes a while to get waited on, but that's my only complaint. more

A very pleasent pet shop 8/4/2005

Jack's Aquarium has a friendly and knowledgeble staff. The pet store is always well stocked and the animals always appear content. They offer a wide variety of toys and food to service your pets needs. They also carry a wide variety of animals. So, when shopping for a pet I would strongly reccomend you check out Jacks. more
