I love getting up early on the weekend and coming here with my family. Just about everything I ordered was good, but I must say that their grits is just to die for. I am not eve...

Worst

1 hour 53 minutes to deliver. I had already cancelled, left, eaten somewhere else, and was back home. Well done.

A wonderful place for breakfast and lunch, great service 9/18/2006

This is a wonderful ""little"" restaurant even though it's actually quite large. They have a good menu with a lot of different options to suit your mood, from healthy to greasy. I like my eggs really dry and the chef made my omlette perfectly for my taste. I was so happy--it was the first omlette I'd eaten in a restaurant in years because most chefs refuse to go beyond their own personal taste in fufilling special cooking orders. I look forward to going back to J&J's. It's a great nighborhhod place. Pros: Kind waitstaff, Great chef, Menu variety Cons: None yet! more

Best Weekend Breakfast joint in Westside. 7/4/2006

If you like good breakfast or hearty burgers, this is the place. Service is marginal and can get annoying- it's set up to be like a cafeteria or something, very casual setting. Everyone's polite, but there's no one waiting your table, so if you need anything you have to get up and walk up to the counter. But, you don't have to tip on top of the high prices of their delicious food, so there's the trade-off. Food is excellent though, some old-fashioned usuals, some very creative. Extremely Poor Service 4/12/2006

I've been to Jack n' Jill's four times. I can't believe that I keep going back because the service is literally the worst that I've ever had. One time I had to wait 40 minutes for our waiter to take our order, then another 40 for the SANDWICHES to come out. We asked very politely if we could see the manager. The manager came over and his only comment was ""well I guess your lunch is on me."" It was very rude and not what you expect from a MANAGER... he could have apologized or something, but alas! Mouth Watering Food 4/5/2006

Both breakfast and lunch are outstanding. Got a sweet spot for the breakfast panini. You can spot celebs here, but the vibe is not pretentious at all. Beverly Hills location is much more spacious, but the Santa Monica location has it's charm as well. Can't wait to go back. Pros: excellent food, ambiance more

IT MIGHT BE A LITTLE PRICEY BUT THE FOOD IS WORTH IT. VERY HEALTHY AND HEARTY. IT CAN GET CROWDED, I RECOMMEND GETTING IT TO GO AND WALKING TO THE BEACH AND EATING IT. IM ATTICTED TO THE VEGGIE WRAP AND SHRIMP SANDWICH - VERY YUMMY. THE SIDE SALADS ARE JUST LETTUCE, BUT THE DRESSING MAKES IT THE SIDE ORDER TO PICK. DID I MENTIONED I LOVE THIS PLACE? Cute place to grab breakfast 2/20/2006

Jack n Jills is a great place to grab breakfast. Go early because it gets packed! I like the blueberry pancakes ....and their vanilla latte is very tasty. Lastly, I'll get chocolate chip cookies for the ride home! ;) Pros: free parking, good food Cons: crowded, not open for dinner more

Great place 1/1/2006

It's a little pricey (not much, but a little) for breakfast/brunch but it's good. The coffee here is pretty good, I like their lattes. It does get crowded. The beverly hills location is a little more serviceable than the Santa Monica one but the food is the same. The menu is typical California style food. You may see a celeb here. Great Brunch Spot 10/9/2005

Jack and Jill's has been around for some time now and we ate there about a year ago. The food is typical Californian, which I truly love for brunch. Service was alo good (the owner's alway there), but the place can get really packed, so avoid the 12-1 crowd. Great people-watching (you are in Beverly Hills after all), dog friendly and reasonably priced. Will come back! Pros: Reasonably priced, Easy parking across, People Watching Cons: Can get packed more
